In my experience , the men in my life put next to nothing into a relationship , but wanted a hell of a lot from me . It didn't work out . I posted a request to see what people were willing to put into a relationship and what they expected to get out of one . Again , there was very little anyone was willing to invest in a relationship . My cats put more into a relationship than people are willing to do , so I'm withdrawing my dating site search . I'm happier on my own .
My folks weren't educated or rich , but Dad was good with his hands . He improved and/or expanded every place we lived in . I used what I learned from him , bought property , and improved them , rented them out , then sold them at a profit . At one point , I owned four properties .

Mom spent the last 52 years of her life living in Bermuda . I stopped counting my round trips to the northern tip of the Bermuda triangle after 14 . I've also visited Mexico , England , Scotland , Wales , Austria , Bavaria , and France . Oh , and California . It's foreign too , in it's own way .
Due to an ongoing stream of scammers on all dating sites , my permanent policy is that , no matter what the justification you give , I never , any circumstances send money .
Sapiosexual . High IQ , voracious reader , love Sci/Fi/Fantasy , non-smoker , seldom have any alcohol , don't use illegal drugs . Two adult children on their own . Two cats their Mom left with me .
I like being me . I like the person I have become . I like where I am at this point , in my life . I like what I've accomplished . And now , retirement suites me . I live in a nice little castle , with a long skinny moat out back . I enjoy LARPs , SciFiFantasy Cons , playing D & D , an occasional movie , catching up on all the TV shows I missed , while putting myself through college ( earned a BS in IFSM ) , swimming , and a little gardening .

 I am so fed up with even hearing about our Pres, that I simply remove the source , when anyone posts anything about Trump .
  those who think it's important , I don't wear make up , and don't have any on , in the photos . I truly wish this body was healthier than it is , and thinner , but I still manage . 
 I prefer people who are constructive , not distructive . I  have no desire to be with those who choose to smoke , use illegal drugs , or are alcoholic . Absolutely will not put up with abuse of any kind , I'm better than that . I'm not here to bail you out . My donations go to Planned Parenthood . Interesting , when I first signed up , they were showing 9 in the 80 % and 90 % ranges . Eventually , I posted that I wondered , with changes and updates , over time , if they re-evaluated the percentages . Which they immediately did . Apparently , over time , I raised the bar .

Constantine , the pagan , Byzantine ruler , who fought wars , increased the land he ruled , wanted to become Emperor , but was told by the Pope he would have to be come Christian first , so he did . Who later decided which of the many books would be put into the Bible . Who withheld any that either did not include extremely subservient women or who were women whom he considered evil .? That one ? Yeah !

This Mother's Day is going to be difficult, I can already feel it. First one without my mom.

Put a pot of money aside . There are always things popping up that you don't expect. My annual income dropped by 20% , when I retired . Property taxes can be a bitch . If you have an IRA , the government and everybody else are out to steal it from you . When they decide you have to cash it out from whatever it was invested in , that cam be a real bitch . Be ready to role it over into a new IRA . You still have to take out a specific amount each year , once you've reached a certain age . Be very careful for the first year or two , at least , until you learn what you're actually dealing with .

I am interested in opinions on this statement.

Keep a money pot for unexpected bills . Don't know how it will work for you , but my annual income dropped by 20% , my first year of retirement . I had purchased a retirement home and moved , but the home I was leaving didn't sell right away . Was really holding my breath for awhile . Real estate agents chose to make some unexpected changes to the home I had moved out of .!@#%^&*()P_{}| . Long story .

A ferrel Momma moved in with me and had a litter of 6 kittens , before I knew I had a room mate . I set out a box of litter . I saw one kitty peeing on the porch floor and grabbed it and put it in the litter box . Only time there was anything on the floor . Momma didn't use a litter box ( ferrel ) , but after that all the kitties either used the litter box, or went in my window boxes .
