When I was a teen , my father let me know my appearance wasn't attractive , and that has been confirmed by others often enough , that I don't believe those who tell me otherwise . There are some who find me acceptable , though . You know , who aren't so put off , that they are ashamed to be seen with me in public . But I'm learning how to make strangers laugh . I decided I get a mental gold star , if I can make someone I don't know laugh . That works for me . It's not about what I look like . It's about who I am .

I joined a LARP group a few years back . Each year we hold a couple of events at my home . Since the lady who runs the LARP and I are just a week apart , we may plan an event around that time , but don't tell the others we're celebrating our birthdays . We have a great time , with a lot of like minded friends .

One morning , I ordered a cookbook I found on line , that covered my specific dietary needs . Almost immediately got a message back asking what my results from eating those recipes were . I responded , that I didn't even expect to receive the book for another three to ten days . That's when they notified me that I wasn't getting an actual book , that would cost me an additional ten dollars . I'd already paid over thirty seven dollars for the d**n book .

Salt is a real problem for me . Doctors said I can't have it , and my body notifies , me if I do . Our prepared foods from the grocery are very high in salt , and there's no reason for it . My daughter moved in with me for about a year , and didn't believe me , when I spoke with her about it . Once she got used to unsalted foods , then had something she's been eating on a regular basis , she was shocked at how salty it now seemed to her . Does a number on your kidneys . My brother is now on dialysis .

Picked up some chicken breasts at the grocery . Started them cooking with a bit of apple cider vinegar , avcado oil , a pat of butter and a little distilled water . After I turned them , I added dumplings , and allowed them to fluff , while I snapped the snow peas . Then I added a veggie mix of broccoli , carrots and cauliflower . When I finished snapping the snow peas , I dropped them in the pot as well .

There's also some kind of gourd , that didn't show up well in my photos , there are some kind of beans , and there were figs earlier , but the squirrels , I believe , feasted on those . Sounds like you're already well beyond $24K per year income , with your businesses , rentals , and other incomes . I actually live on about half of my income , and invest the rest in improvements to my home . Something that I'm currently looking into is solar panels . According to the sales rep ., they decrease the cost of my electric bills , and qualify me for a tax credit , ( which I am expected to pay into the cost of the solar installation ) and use the difference to pay down the cost of the installation . My cost of electricity will not rise , and the house gains an equity value of $40K . They take care of all the legal details - permits , HOA , etc. I think how well you prepare is an important component , and what you plan to do with your life . You also need to take into consideration that the cost of everything will increase over the years that you are retired , and as you grow older , your health will likely decline . I'd suggest , always have a back up plan . You never know what the future holds in store for you .

If it's a matter of maximizing your retirement benefits , when the base my Mom was working at was closed down , they recommended that she collect on Dad's SS , until she reached full retirement age , then switch to collecting her own SS at full benefits rate . It might make a difference in your long term income .

Perhaps , instead of saying that this one should be in charge of making the decisions because of their sexual identity , it would make more sense to select the more intelligent to be the leader , the stronger to be the mover , and the more nurturing to be the nurturer . A person's capabilities should be recognized and encouraged and they should receive suitable recompense based on their contribution to society . It's not right to mistreat women , any more than it's right to mistreat people of a different religion , or a different color , or even other animals , for that matter.

True the problem is in getting others to accept the concept . IF enough accept it , cryptocurrency will be an international coin , that can be used worldwide , and you'll never have to pay transition fees . As I understand it , the Rothchild family , has created most of the European and North American world currencies over the past centuries , and continue to have absolute control over many world currencies . In some places , where the currency system is failing , many of the wealthier citizens find it is not profitable to keep their value in the local currency . I believe Veneizuala was a good example . With the value of the money crashing , If you earned a reasonable salary one week , and the following week , it was suddenly no longer enough to buy basic groceries . Travelers would bring home things like TV sets , TV would hold it's value better than the cash. Ackward to trade with , but still worth it's value compared to the cash .

In my opinion , being a realist , I'm more apt to spot potential problems and find ways to either fix or avoid them , before they happen . Saves a LOT of time , money , and frustration , in the long run . For instance , let's take a vacation in Europe . Well , we'll need to get a passport , and certain vacinationtions . It takes at least 6 weeks to get a passport , after they've received our filled out form and suitable photos , along with our check . Best to get the passports , before we even make our reservations .

My initial concept was borrow money to invest in real estate , using my home as collateral , rent out the properties, to pay off the loans , and declare interest on taxes as a deduction . In my opinion , particularly with Trump in office , absolutely nothing is guarranted , but the diversification you have is a excellent . Real estate generically speaking . is always a great investment . They aren't creating more land . On the other side , location , location , location . With climate change , it could soon be underwater . Renters can only pay rent if they are collecting a paycheck . The government has ." borrowed ," from Social Security and to the very best of my knowledge has no plans to repay what was borrowed , much less pay interest on the borrowed money , and seems intent on , "borrowing," even more . I don't know if they can do the same to the military retirement funds . Another concern I have is US money may not hold it's value . The Chinese Yen has become another currency being used to pay international debts . Cryptocurrency may be an investment for the future . It's international . That's if all countries buy into it , if it's not some kind of Poncy scam itself . It's something you can easily transfer world wide . During WWII a lot of Europeans left the countries they were from , but lost everything they owned , which was better than losing their lives . Cryptocurrency would have you covered in that scenario . And it's an investment , as it's growing in value compared to US currency . I can't speak for your businesses other than diversity is a great plan .

I retired about eleven and a half years ago , after putting in forty two years, nine months and three days at my last job . A potential concern at the time was 1. As a retiree I would be living on less income . 2. Over time , the cost of living constantly increases , where by , my income would no longer be increasing . In the end , my income immediately decreased by 25% . I had prepared , in that my investments held me until I could sell my last home and pay off that mortgage . My new home did not have a mortgage . My retirement income is , as I understand it , a lot better than those who depend on social security . 2. Prices have gone up , and will continue to do so , but my careful spending has kept me within my income resources . I was very happy to leave my employment and do not miss it at all . Moving away , accomplished several things . I had a lot of moving activities , so my thoughts were not about what I was leaving behind , but about getting set up in my new residence , making my new residence home , establishing new friendships , locating new activities within my range of interests. While I had intended to spend a portion of my new free time involving myself in art , to date , I really haven't . The supplies are here in a cabinet , I really haven't pulled them out to work on them . My health is not what it used to be , but I've had these problems for decades , they're just getting worse , as expected , with age . My family members had all already moved on with their lives , so I wasn't moving away from any of them . Nor I did return to work of any kind , I did however make some careful investments . I do not fear death . When it comes , it comes . Whatever actually happens then , will happen no matter what I feel about it . So it's not anything to ponder over , or get stressed about . I feel I've accomplished most if not all , and in some cases even more than I ever set out to do . From here on , it's gravy , icing on the cake .

My brother and I were a year and a half apart . but we had different rules . Mine were stricter and at the time , I can recall asking my Mother why I was the second class citizen . He did get more , "privleges ," **BUT** going through life , I think my upbringing served me better , in the long run . While he's a year and a half younger , he's been much sicker for a lot longer , due in part to his concept of , he ," gets the biggest . best , and most of everything , screw everybody else ." He's treated himself to way too much food for way too long . He's now on dyalesis , and had a quadruple bypass some twenty years ago . I have never had a mortgage on my current home , he's still paying on his , long after he retired . He typically got paid more , but did not handle his income well . We both started college as adults , he earned a two year degree , I earned a 4 year degree . So , in the end , I learned from him , that our parents considered me the smart one . My upbringing was less privliged , but has served me better in the long run . Thanks Mom & Dad !

I read a paper on facebook , that said while most blood forms have been here a very long time , my B- , is relatively new to this old globe . They suspect , it was brought to earth by space aliens . and there you have it , ladies and gentlemen . I'm officially a space alien .

I couldn't afford a really nice place , when I was raising my kids . As they got older , I invested in real estate . I thought , if any of them needed a place to go for any reason (a death , divorce , old age , etc., I'd be prepared .) Though Mom and my step Dad did visit , they never needed to move here . My youngest and grandchildren did move in for a year . So far , my oldest has stood firmly on her own two feet . If I reach a point where my retirement income isn't enough , I can always rent out rooms . I did that when I was younger . Or if I feel I've gotten too fragile to be 100% on my own , I can take in housemates . It also a safe place to invest my money . There are a lot of scammers out there , and many are aimed at , " older , lonely , women. " Let's just see you try to put my house in your pocket and walk off with that !

When we were small , the standard size for a glass of milk with dinner , was 8 ounces . The fast food places , decided to make 16oz. the standard small size and fill us with sugars , which has made us obese and sick . A glass half empty is a very good thing !

I was at Home Decor about two weeks ago . Not only were all of their Halloween decorations on display , but they were putting up Christmas decor as well . Got a really great sale price on artificial summer butterfly / flowers .
