What, me worry?

Anyone else in my age bracket having this issue?
birdingnut comments on Apr 12, 2018:
Most cis hetero males only pay attention to women for one reason..to get laid. Since most of them want to have sex with most females, their lust is NOT flattering. Meanwhile, most cis, hetero women put up with sex to get love, affection, support, cuddling, etc. One thing I did on dating profiles was to state clearly, "I don't do casual sex," and to delete anyone who brings it up. I also defriend anyone on Facebook who does the same. When men think of women as only a means to their OWN pleasure, that's insulting, whereas most cis hetero men would feel flattered if a woman saw them in a sexual light, instead of wanting to know what they do for living, their hobbies, their characters, etc.

birdingnut comments on Apr 12, 2018:

birdingnut comments on Apr 12, 2018:
LOL! I hadn't thought about that, not that Christians care, since they voted for a sexual predator. To be fair, James did marry Anne of Denmark and have three children. In those days, aristocrats were often bisexual, perhaps from the constant inbreeding. In fact, most noble ladies knew to find more genetically suitable mates for their children than their inbred but aristocratic husbands, and most husbands were glad to allow their wives to do so, since most of them also had side lovers-again, with the blessings of their wives.

birdingnut comments on Apr 12, 2018:
You have to stick up for yourself or nobody will. Whenever someone starts to diss you, calmly disagree, say that it was a rude thing to say and that your beliefs and sexual orientation are none of their business, then leave the room. Don't pay any attention to them or even look at them unless they are acting positively toward you from then on. Just get busy and happy and never talk to them or about them..act they don't exist. This quickly trains them to leave you alone..two weeks tops. I straightened out my parents from attacking my children after about three times of doing this. Whenever my dad started accusing them of something, I'd say "Look at the time! Gotta run! Love you!" then we'd leave. After about three times of doing this, my mom would quickly shush my dad every time he started in on them.
Getting over someone

The same advice as anyone else would give..get busy, meet new people, accept dates, move on. Defriend him from Facebook and all other social media so he can't stalk you, and you won't see him anywhere online. Never talk about him to your friends or they could report it, making him feel triumphant and giving him bragging rights.

Prayer at extended family meals
birdingnut comments on Apr 12, 2018:
Dunno. I've been in Thailand since 2010, and didn't fully dump all Christianity until last year. Perhaps I'd tell my family members that we are agnostic, but that we'll respect their traditions and just meditate during their prayers. I do that with Muslims and Buddhists here in Thailand anyway, attending their funerals and social events and simply meditating happily whenever there are prayers involved.
Have you ever felt guilty about how you treated someone.
birdingnut comments on Apr 12, 2018:
Sure, but I didn't dwell on it. When I first came to Thailand, my rude, brusque American mannerisms clashed with the polite Thai culture, and I gradually learned to moderate some of them.
What was the worst date you have ever gone on?
birdingnut comments on Apr 12, 2018:
I had a date turn terrifying when a 6' 2" ex-marine, a nephew of church friend wih whom I'm previously had one casual date, took me to the movies. I made the mistake of driving to his house and going with him in his car to the movie, and when we returned, he said he couldn't let me go. I though he was trying to pay me a romantic compliment, until he locked the doors and starting pushing me backward. I know karate and self defense, but had no desire to tangle with a lean, fit ex-marine of that size in close quarter, with nobody around to help me. I remembered that men have one-track minds and liked to impress women, so I suddenly said, "Hey! I see ice on my windshield..could you help me clear my windows?" He obediently dropped me and started scraping my windshield, while I quickly jumped into my pickup and locked the doors. Afterward, he tried to get into the truck with me, but I just drove off. The next day I got an angry card from him saying he thought we had a connection, so what was wrong with me?! I replied that he had tried to force me but that I'd escaped, and if he contacted me again, I'd call the police and tell his aunt as well.
I never remember dreaming anymore. Does anyone else experience this?

As a child, the earliest memories of a TV show that made the most impact on me was MASH .
birdingnut comments on Apr 12, 2018:
I used to watch MASH until the last few episodes directed by Alan Alda. I was so horrified and traumatized I never watched it again, and likely never will. I didn't realize I was a partial transmale most of my life, so looked to males as role models, and found them mostly disgusting, as the female judgmental part of me kicked in. I liked Wonder Woman for the wrong reasons..I thought her figure was gorgeous and perfect. I'm panromantic (can fall in love with anything), but as a demisexual, lack sexual attraction for anyone. I might say Angelia Jolie, but again, it's her beauty that likely attracted me, then I admired her wild, reckless male side and her devotion to helping others.

birdingnut comments on Apr 12, 2018:
It might help, but most agnostics are statistically higher IQ than the general population, so they are more likely to appeciate intellectual discussions. Most people on dating popular websites seem to be desperate to get laid, find The One, etc., with little interest in hanging out to chat. In fact, in the book "Rules for Dating Online," women are advised to delete any male who hasn't set a date to meet up in person within five messages. That wouldn't work well here, though, since most people have few compatible agnostic.com members living near them, as a rule.

I agree with them, to a point. Although some vaccinations are necessary, I read in old medical journals I accessed through google before the medical society knew to block their documents from being searched, that autism was unknown before vaccination and it was widely discussed by the then current doctors, who decided that admitting this would only get them sued, so to keep it quiet. I found another journal in my medical doctor uncle's office, explaining to fellow doctors how to ridicule women into allowing dangerous medical procedures and drugs. One suggested line was to tell them that they were acting fussy as grandmothers, to shame them. I was horrified, being ony 15 years old, but right after that, my uncle prescribed birth control pills to stop my cramps and when I brought up the blood clotting danger, he laughed at me and asked if I'd been talking to my grandmother, so I knew he'd read it.

birdingnut comments on Apr 11, 2018:
Doesn't bother me to say, "No, thankyou. I no longer believe that way." If I were to hedge politely, or give excuses, they'd just try again. If they press me, that gives me the opportunity to mention the Sumerian texts and/or complain about how 85% of white evangelicals voted for that sexual predator, Trump. I often mention those things anyway.

What are your thoughts about the spirit science channel?
birdingnut comments on Apr 11, 2018:
I never watched it, but I've experienced most of it since early childhood; astral projection, telekinesis, teleportation, instant healings, seeing the future, knowing the correct answers to questions without any information, ESP, communication with animals, seeing UFOs, seeing into other dimensions at times, remembering past lives, etc. I'm a "two-spirit," and traditionally would have been trained as a shaman in my Cherokee tribe, and my daughter already is one. By the way, if you troll me, I'll just block you.

Are we all tired of being classified by a color, or what???
birdingnut comments on Apr 11, 2018:
It doesn't matter what we think..it's how the world perceives us, and for some weird reason, white people are currently the top status in color. No matter where I've lived, to my shock, people still judge you by your skin color..even in Haiti where almost everyone is coal black, and very African. If your skin is lighter, you are often assigned "elite" status.

Does the term cis bother you?
birdingnut comments on Apr 11, 2018:
It's one of the gender label descriptions that have come into recent use. It means that you identify with your birth gender. I am careful to qualify people as "cis hetero" instead of blanket labels like "males." For example, I may resemble as "female" and be a bio female, but as a partial transmale I don't identify as one, but as nonbinary. I don't identify strongly with either gender, but slightly more with males.
How would you explain humanity to a visiting alien?
birdingnut comments on Apr 11, 2018:
According to numerous ancient accounts, including the Sumerian texts, written 2000 years before the Bible, and Lloyd Pie, who wrote "Intervention Theory," our planet was terraformed and populated with genetically engineered humans. There were at least 22 alien sources who mixed their DNA with human apes, according to alleged DNA evidence. The alleged secret government whistle blowers say that these alien races keep track of us, and are constantly present, although they can cloak themselves at will and even use other dimensions for space travel. The documentary, "Unacknowledged" (seen on Netflix and YouTube) has videos of US presidents, astronauts, NSA agents, and scientists admitting this. I've seen enough UFOs and strange things myself, all denied by our government to exist, to know the US government seems anxious to keep certain things classified.

birdingnut comments on Apr 11, 2018:
I did research on gender issues for years, read a pile of gender books on Kindle, read science feed links, visited gender issue forums, etc. To my dismay, at androgyne dating sites, most members seemed perfectly satisfied with being single and only having friends. I am the same way. I only miss having a companion in that I want a dance and hiking partner, as going alone into remote wilderness areas is dangerous..I was mugged in 2014 while out birding near the beach south of Songkhla, nearly killed, all my camera gear stolen. A tall, muscular companion, like my ex, would have been preferable. My ex, although he much later came out as nonbinary female, was a wonderful, fun companion. I keep wishing I could have my cake and eat it too..I could be with an intelligent, fit, fun person who is able to sustain a relationship. That would include me, since I'm as picky and difficult as the others.

birdingnut comments on Apr 11, 2018:
To me, gender issues were almost nonexistent until I came to realize in 2014 that I'm a partial transmale and androgynous. I was vaguely aware of them, and that certain favorite relatives cohabited with LGBTQ patners, but since my parents didn't care, I didn't either. After I realized what I am, I began to realize that many friends and family members were LGBTQ also and began educating myself..pouring over Kindle books, gender issue articles, visited LGBTQ forums, trying to get a handle on it. After that, I could see that the GOP, alt-right, and white evangelicals were my enemies, and that they were against anyone who wasn't a white, cis, hetero person, preferably male.
What qualities must an individual possess to be considered mature?
birdingnut comments on Apr 11, 2018:
Most normal women hope for a partner who is responsible with money and the possessions of others, who is willing listen to others and see alternate perspectives. Women want someone who will put them first, have their back, be there for them, honor and respect them as equals. If the guy wants to play video games all day, grabs all the food for himself, never lifts a finger to help, constantly runs off with his male friends, insults her family and friends and tries to make her only visit his family, etc., she won't stay long.
What is your knowledge of religion?
birdingnut comments on Apr 11, 2018:
I know a lot because of all the reading I do, and my curiosity. Most religious people I meet know little even about their own religions. A few months ago a Thai girl whose home hosted a Catholic church invited me to their services, and when I questioned her about her religion she knew next to nothing..hadn't even heard of the Pope or the Pope's official stance on the LGBTQ community. I became so frustrated, I gave up even trying to talk to her, but when she kept inviting me, I just cut to the chase and said, "No."

How to possibly tell your parents that you do not follow there religious beliefs?
birdingnut comments on Apr 11, 2018:
My parents passed away in 2008 and I didn't fully decide to dump all Christianity until last year, when I read the Sumerian texts. I can only suggest you state your stance calmly and firmly, and keep repeating it every time your mother tries to tell you how you "really" feel. Keep it up until she gives up. Another tactic that works well, and can be used concurrently, is to look at her and pay attention to her only when she is respecting you. If she starts to upbraid or tell you you're mistaken, quietly state your position, then look at your watch and say something like, "Look at the time! Love you! Gotta go!" And then LEAVE. Only smile, look at her, and show postive response if she is being kind and accepting toward you. Otherwise, you're distracted and busy. This will work within two weeks, tops. I once trained my parents to stop accusing my kids every time we came over, by doing this. It only took a few times before my mom started shushing my dad whenever he started in.

Does it matter how a gift is wrapped or is it only the gift that matters?
birdingnut comments on Apr 11, 2018:
Being transmale, I see gift wrapping a big waste of time and money, but women seem to expect it, even if they simply toss the wrappings immediately. Also gift giving for birthdays and Christmas is annoyingly silly. I agree with Sheldon of the Big Bang Theory that if you buy someone a gift, that person then feels obligated to give you a gift of the same monetary value, and the gifts are likely to be nothing either of you really wants. My solution? Before a birthday, I ask that person directly which item (s) on Amazon they'd most prefer, then I have it gift wrapped and sent to their home with a card (all provided on Amazon). They, in turn, know to just get me an Amazon gift card so I can keep happily buying Kindle books. But, Sheldon is still right..our gifts just cancel each other out. Is there a word for...?
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
Could be memories of past lives. The laughing Cherub Guide to Past-Life Regression: A Handbook for Real People, written by therapist Mary Elizabeth Raines, tells about her accidentally learning to cure patients with persistent problems by healing memories from their past lives, and gives instructions on how to do this for yourself at home. I'd had certain troubling phobias and problems all my life, and never could cure myself that vanished instantly when I revisited the appropriate past life where the trauma first occurred, and re-imagined the traumatic scenes as being happy events instead, where the bad stuff never happened. Turned out, I didn't have to go through her complicated processes-just tell myself to return to the past life where the trauma first occurred, then just "imagine" it. To my shock, I remembered the past lives vividly, and even verified some details by googling incidents. I visited a number of past lives to hit a number of problem areas. The relief was so profound, I didn't care whether or not the imaginary experiences were "real," as long as they worked.

What are your thoughts on online dating?
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
In my case, I first read "The Rules for Online Dating," and followed the instructions. I posted a profile on a popular free dating website, but made a long, complicated list of what I liked to do, and what kind of man I was looking for. I made it ridiculous, mostly because I was only posting a profile to make it seem to my family that I was "looking" for someone. The guy had to be my age, a certain height, have a Masters degree, have grown up with horses, lived abroad, be a musician, be very fit, a health food nut, lean, have no current pets, etc. I was following the advice of the book, which recommended being very picky, since men love challenges. I posted it and started to lean back when I got a reply from someone who went down the list of everything I'd said. He had just joined the website and didn't even have a photo up yet. He said he was an airline pilot instructor, former Navy pilot, engineer, had owned horses growing up, had been deployed in the Pacific for years, played trumpet, was a vegan, was very fit, had no pets. He said he couldn't marry me at the moment but soon could, once he got his affairs in order after his divorce. I was taken aback, and did my best to discourage him, but he persisted, and even flew down for my birthday to join me on a birding hike and climb to Lockegee Rock. Sure enough, he was everything he'd claimed to be, and we were eventually married.

Do You Believe that love transcends all ( age, education, time, distances, money, differences,.
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
You're right. "Falling in love" is only a chemical reaction in the brain to bond a cis, hetero male to a woman to make it easier to stay faithful to her while he helps raise her children. Since cis, hetero women are usually wired to tolerate and humor males, this usually works in the favor of the children. Unlike men, most cis hetero women don't "fall in love." Their role is to be the choosy female who picks over the courting males and chooses the one with best advantage to her. If women "fall in love" like men do, that means they have a lot of male traits, and this puts them at risk. Being besotted with someone, willing to overlook dangerous behavior and forgive anything, puts women at risk of abuse. I'm highly male, so all my relationships have ended badly because I keep overlooking their disrespectful behavior, hitting on other women, etc., until it gets intolerable for me and I just dump them altogether. But my sister, girl friends and other cis, hetero women I know would never date someone who disrespected or cheated on them in any way. If men displease them, the women dump their stuff on the lawn, change the locks, and move on.
Understanding vegans

That's just a western prejudice. Insects and grubs are widely eaten in Asia, and are delicious, with higher levels of protein and nutrients than meat. Also it takes very little to raise them, and raising insects is sustainable, unlike meat, which takes vast amounts of land and water and their waste and pesticides pollute the world's water systems. Any home brewers out there?
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
Sounds delicious! My daughter used to brew her own beer but eventually switched to buying microbrewery beer once it was popular enough to be readily available.
So I had my account on another website 'permanately suspended' because I had the audacity to post ...
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
HAHAHAHAHA! I also was kicked off a website forum last year because I brought up the Sumerian texts and said they proved the Bible was only a copy. I was immediately banned for life!
This stoic Rusty Blackbird

Nice capture!
Last one for today ... this Yellow-rumped Warbler looking cranky.
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
Aw! These little guys are always so cute!
This has probably been asked a lot but here goes... Do you ever feel shame for being an atheist?
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
I don't see how your personal beliefs could possibly be anyone's business.
Although I'm not a Christian a lot of people I know are and the like to play gospel music.
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
NO.
Do you have nightmares?
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
If I ever have a nightmare, that signals me that I'm not getting enough of certain hormone balancers.
Is anyone here a foodie?
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
Yes. I eat local, organic food, even here in Thailand.
Do you use the word, "sex," in your profile? What was the result?
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
I never encourage men to think I'd be putting out. Since most cis hetero men want to have sex with most women, the lust of men is not complimentary. If a guy makes a sexual comment to me, my first reaction is to block him. If he doesn't bring anything to the table in the way of interests in common, then I don't want him. I am a demisexual and feel no sexual attraction until after a year of close association.
I enjoy walking through old cemeteries, do YOU?
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
Yes, because of the old growth trees, lack of people, etc., so they are great places for photographing migrating birds. The old Lexington, KY, cemetery also has ponds and flowering ornamental trees, so is also beautiful in spring, and bird groups routinely go there.
Compliments
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
I've had a number of my professors at college complain to me that I made them feel stupid, so I suppose that's a sort of a compliment.
What are you telling your children or grandchildren about religion and god and where you stand on ...
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
Mine are already grown and were agnostic before I was.
Agree or disagree?
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
LOL! True.
Have you ever felt yourself being pulled from your body, when you look up?
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
Perhaps you are strongly psychic and was feeling the beginning of astral projection. I've done than a number of times, but usually when lying down.

birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
LOL! I put the link to that video on Twitter.
What was your “ah ha” moment when you realized religion was bs?
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
We get this question several times a week from new members. I thought the Bible's Hebrew god was bloodthirsty and cruel, but finally stopped attending church when I saw how misogynistic and racist the Christians were. I stopped believing in Christianity altogether when I read the Sumerican texts, since it was so plain the Bible had been copied from them.
Dating: what's your ideal age range? How important is age?
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
I agree. I always date people within two years of my age. I don't want to deal with age-related cultural expectations. But I do have friends of all ages. When I was in my mid 50's I was the dance partner, for about a year, of a 75-year-man who was not only a dapper dancer, but had memberships in three ballroom clubs!
We humans are very complex.
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
Not sure. I was unhappy in monogamous relationships because I was the only one being faithful. I told one romantic interest that I'd be up for a three-person relationship, but later realized that jealousy was sure to occur. Maybe if the person just lived next door, it might work.
What are your top 2 go-to meals during the work week?
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
I eat the same thing every day..a can of one-serving Thai hot, spicy sardines with a cup of cho-wa tea for early breakfast. No lunch. Dinner is a boiled free range egg, freshly made cashew butter/mung bean sprout mash. I usually drink a cup of freshly juiced greens and carrots with hot Thai pepper. Sometimes I eat a few raw almonds, or dried dates. I eat whatever makes me feel good, and keeps my health improving. I drop any food that congests me or takes my energy. I would eat more foods, but if it's not making me feel better, it's not worth it.
Childhood mementos. Do you have any mementos from your childhood?
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
I got rid of most of my stuff when I moved to Thailand. It's possible my daughter kept some of it. Most of my photos are in boxes are in the US, the rest are stored on amazon drive.
That moment when an old psychological wound is reopened.
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
Like I keep saying, take an early morning walk to reset your thyroid for better sleep and mood patterns, eat fish. You can also take any or all of these..5-htp, magnesium, CBD oil, St. John's Wort, a few iodine drops in water. Have loving pets that are always happy to see you.
Anyone want secular daycare and pre school?
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
I disagree with both daycare and preschool. Also bottles, baby food jars, public school in general, and most things US people seem to accept as normal. But, even if people use daycare, unless they used a church-affiliated childcare, these places are already secular.
Do you like your buns toasted?
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
LOL! I don't eat white bread or processed food. But back when I still ate such things, I liked to toast them.
The abbreviation FWB, how many know what it means. Trying to determine if is now commonly used.
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
You mean, "front wheel drive?"
Is it possible for you not to judge people based on their appearance?
birdingnut comments on Apr 10, 2018:
No. If you couldn't do snap judgements, you might not be alive. Ignoring your instincts is never wise. If you see some slovenly dressed, mean-faced guy with scars on his face hanging out in an alley and he calls you to come over, better keep walking, or quickly go into a store.
