@thinktwice It didn't in the past. That is how they built the interstate highway system in the 50's. That highway system made goods and services move around the country faster and cheaper. Why tax the rich? That is where the money is. Why rob banks? that's where the money is. A couple of years ago the Wall Street Journal ran a story about the fact 63% percent of the wealth in this country is inherited. If the divide between the wealthy and everyone else keeps getting wide,the rich won't have to worry about taxes, because this country could fall apart just like every country and empire in history that let that divide get to large.

@Skeezwazzle We run an open mic. They can have the band play behind them, or go solo, or have any accompaniment they request. We have to be fast on our feet. We play a lot of songs we have never played including original songs they bring in. We have a little over 200 years experience in our four piece band. It is a lot of fun. The level of talent in Central Texas is pretty amazing.

He told us he was doing a show in which Buffy sainte-marie was on the bill. He did a song titled Ten Little Indians, and she got so pissed off, she threatened to have him killed.

Do it. We learned a long time ago, you can do just about any song reggae and it works. You can do the shittiest song ever written with a reggae rhythm and it will sound cool.

@CaroleKay I went from my phone to a laptop three or four months ago. I had to. I would get in the car and everything was a little blurry for like a half an hour. If your screen is that big, remind me not to do a live video chat with you. The smaller the screen, the prettier l get. I am really handsome over the phone. :)

@CaroleKay I hadn't noticed those. Good eye. I really like antiques, and now 50's and 60's furniture, lamps, and nic-nacs are really getting popular and more expensive in some markets. The stuff from the 40's and older, which I also love, is getting a little harder to find, but the prices are coming down as younger people don' really care for that style as much. I think I am rambling. Sorry. :)

@Charlene. What I said was fact. If you break it down to the the bottom line, around 50% of Americans are stupid. 50% of those stupid people are even more stupid. Anyone who thought Trump had the slightest bit of intelligence, experience, or,humanity to do that job, is almost to stupid to live. He never hid who he was while running. I have played music with my brother for over 40 years. Over that time, every once in a while people would ask me why my brother was a snob. He is bashful. People think because people are on stage every night they must be extroverts, like me. You don't know her. She also had people managing where she goes and what to talk about. Campaign mgrs run campaigns. That is what they get paid to do. Three people l can think of off hand whose campaign mgrs. gave them horrible advice which definitely hurt them are Dukakis, McCain, and Dole.

@Pralina1 I didn't say it was smart, but just having good grades won't get you into college. We also have a system in place in most states which puts the better teachers in the better schools. Those schools are generally in upper middle class and wealthy neighborhoods, putting the less fortunate kids behind another eight ball. There is no easy way for these people to beat a system that continually tries to hold them down, and most of these folks look at it as impossible.
