@Qualia And don't turn down the first guy that ask you to dance, even if you are not really attached to him. Other guys see that and they won't ask. When you get turned down that is a long walk back. If you are in a group and a guy asks someone in the group to dance and they say no, what does he do? If he asks someone else they feel like your second choice, so for most guys that kills the whole group.

@Cast1es If that is what makes you comfortable that is fine. You won't meet anyone in a bar that way. You need to figure out a different way to socialize to meet men. I live in bars and women go out all of the time by themselves. If you are not a bar person that is not where you need to go anyway. People in bars are just normal people. If you go where an older crowd hangs out you should be fine. Go with another lady. In a groups, you will almost never meet anyone. By all.means do what makes you comfortable.

@graceylou l spent several hours at MMA. I sat in a room full of impressionist paintings ( my favorites ), and it was overwhelming. I have never been moved like that in a room full of paintings, and l love paintings. You couldn't find vegan on any menus? I do eat fish. No beef or pork. Chicken occasionally.

@graceylou Sounds good to me. I do love that place. It seems like no matter where l eat there it is good. I love the buildings and feel of the quarter. I love old architecture. That is the main reason l don't like Phoenix. It is too new. NY was fun. One night my brother and l walked from Times Sq down through Little Italy, part of China Town, and SOHO back up to Mid Town where we were staying from midnight till 3 in the morning and never felt threatened. We got to do a couple of really cool things l will tell you about sometime.

Right now l am pretty healthy. I take no prescription drugs. I can still play drums and get to do so once or twice a week. I also wonder if l will have another shot at love or a relationship. @CaroleKay That friend thing can get out of hand. I need to go through mine and eliminate a few.l am not sure why some of them requested l friend them. They are people l know, but we don't really hang out together. I don't like to turn them down because l don't want to hurt their feelings.

@CaroleKay My brother and l had that happen to us with a stupid song we co-wrote in our 20's called "The Vibrator Queen". Someone in the audience somewhere recorded it, re-recorded it, and put on an album of songs which included "Why Don't We Get Drunk and Screw" ( a Jimmy Buffet song ) and "l Heard You Been Laying My Old Lady" a song written by a late friend of ours named Rusty Weir, and sold it in truck stops. Later David Allen Coe claimed he wrote it, put out on the net probably, sold several thousand copies and we got nothing. Granted it is not a great song, but it is or was ours. Such is life.

I have found these messaging things just run out of gas most of the time. If l have said the last thing, if l don't hear back, 90% of the time l don't msg them again. This is not a very organic way to carry on a conversation. It is something l don't enjoy very much.
