@dalefvictor After January I will be able to retire, but not a full benefits and Medicare won't kick in for another 3 years. Most of my stress is job related, and I need to work for the health insurance.

I work in Customer Service for a pediatric hospital billing department, so lots of time on the phone, so I get all my talking done and all the drama I can handle.

While I know the group here works very hard , to remove potential scammars early on , I sometimes wonder , if they're removing folks who aren't scammers , because they were originally from a different country , so their communication is a little different from what we're used to .

First I want to stress that the group does not remove anyone. The findings are reported to Admin and Site Support. We image search their pictures to see if they have been used on other sites and frequently scammers use photos from porn sites. We do pay attention to language, but we're looking at the broader package. Does the use of language reflect the level of education they say they have, even given for the non native English speakers. We also look at the interactions they have with other groups. Do their comments make sense or do they follow the thread of the conversation. Often potential scammers are reported to the group by other site members when they have had contact and red flags are raised. One red flag is that they want your phone number right away, or call you dear, or similar flags. Bios are frequently copied from other sites. If you google parts of the bio you can find other sites where it is used. People who claim to be from the US but are working overseas are frequently scammers. Sadly I think I have had more contact with scammers than with "real" people on dating sites, except for this one, and I've had contact with more than one scammer here as well. Like I said, we don't remove them, we simply report and let Admin/Site Support make the judgement on that.

And I work in customer service for billing at a hospital.... So many times I have wanted to recommend this book. My line is recorded and because I am new my calls are 100% reviewed every day. I do need the job so I shut up and do as I am supposed to. This book covers everything about health care, how it happened and what we can do about it.

And I work in customer service for billing at a hospital.... So many times I have wanted to recommend this book. My line is recorded and because I am new my calls are 100% reviewed every day. We have done joint events with another group called REASON (Rationalists, Empiricists and Skeptics of Nebraska). We have members that are politically active and members that are Active Duty.

If strangers are in the house, that is where they head. My adult kids have not met the cats, they will come out if the grandbabies are here and reasonably quiet.

I wear a fitbit, which tracks steps, flights of stairs and other health data. We walked over 15 flights of stairs today, Omaha is hilly as much as it is in the flatlands. Just waiting for our turn to go and the mile or so route we did a good 5000 or so steps.

I'm not really thrilled with how I look now, but I'm still walking upright on this side of the dirt, and I've outlived my mother so I figure I'm gonna run with that. It is what it is, I would never have won a beauty contest anyway, and I'm way beyond caring now. I'm happy with me.

I suppressed so many memories that when one slips out I grieve and then remind myself of how strong I am because of that, and how my girls are proud of me for how strong I am, and from that how strong they are. One of the things I did right as a parent was keeping my kids away from my folks. It helped that their dad was in the military and we did not ever live near them. When I moved away, I really moved away.

I keep finding more and more of my friends are now wearing hearing aides. And I definitely know a couple of people who should get their hearing tested, but no, they're fine they tell me. Yeah right.

The family was led to a corner table, with a speaker playing music overhead. She couldn’t understand a word. Her brother demanded they sit in the quieter closed section. “I begged him not to embarrass me,” said Powers-Brown, who was born partially deaf and wears a hearing aid in one ear.

Under Title III of the Americans With Disabilities Act, restaurants — as places of public accommodation — must accommodate disabilities. But what if the disability is a hearing impairment, and the request is for a lower volume? On this issue, the law has largely remained silent.
Hard-of-hearing diners report a vast range of responses when they seek softer music or quieter seating. Sometimes the music is turned down or off, and sometimes it isn’t. Sometimes it is even turned up. Maybe the volume is declared unchangeable, set by corporate overseers. Or there’s no available seating far from the clattering kitchen, the droning ventilation, the hearty partyers.
Powers-Brown, 60, who is earning a library degree, rarely dines out with anyone but her husband. She never even thought to request quiet. “I was brought up to adjust to others,” she said. Instead of struggling to converse over a meal, she reads.
The law, though, requires “full and equal enjoyment in places of public accommodation,” said Daniel Fink, a retired Los Angeles doctor and a noise activist. His paper on the disability-rights aspects of ambient noise was presented at a recent meeting of the Acoustical Society of America. “I can guarantee that people with hearing impairments don’t fully enjoy noisy restaurants,” he said.

I actually bought a tablet so I can keep the titles of my books private, I read some pretty subversive and rather anti christian stuff, and I'm just not ready to advertise in that office that I'm that far out of the common mold. My supervisor and her boss both wear crosses.
I feel your pain, my dear. No one has that type of money. Yes, you can ask for an estimate before you ever have a procedure. But read the book it will forever change your life. We desperately need Universal Health Care in the US. Everyone is out for profit and it is coming out of our hides.

Hundreds if not thousands of women throughout history have stayed with abusive/controlling husbands because divorce was not an option. For the most part women have not been silent rulers, they have been cowed and coerced.

It took me a bit to embraced Kindle (I liked 'real' books). But once I understood the ease of always having my book handy on my phone, not having to store/move physical books, buying a book with one click.....I was hooked.

I don't like it on my phone, the screen is too small and I would have to keep turning pages. I know, I'm such a baby. I have a tablet so I use that. I like adjusting the font so I can read it easily. And my light at my desk at worked stopped working so I can adjust the app so I can read it less light. I do think the tablet weighs more than most books, but to borrow or return a book to the library is a mouse click instead of a trip to the library. Yeah, I can get used to this.

January 13, 2021 My newest and smallest grandchild. She arrived 5 weeks early and is now 2.5 weeks old and is less than 7 pounds. I've never held such a small baby before. She is quite perfect and very amazing. I love being a Grammy.
