@seattlepanda 1995 to 1999 I lived in the Gold Creek neighborhood just past Mill Creek on the way to Snohomish, south of Everett. One year we had rain, ice, snow, ice rain, and repeat. I remember walking on top of the snow in my yard. It didn't last long, but it was inconvenient while it was there. I also remember not having AC in my house, we really didn't need it. @Charlene I actually don't know many of my neighbors. One of the neighbor kids did shovel my driveway once, and I paid him and his buddy quite well. However, they haven't come around again. I could call my son in law and ask him to bring over his snowblower. He lives about 6 miles away. He would do that, he's a really good guy.

My recipe is more complicated than that. It does have coconut oil, but also shea butter and beeswax. The beeswax will keep it from melting off right away. I don't use baking soda but Diatomaceous earth and arrowroot powder. Mine has worked well through the years, but I don't live in Arizona and usually manage to stay in climate controlled areas. My AC went out once in July, I ended up going to a hotel until it could be replaced.

Yes, studies now are looking for women, because studies for the last 50+ years were done on men. I work in the health care field, I am a mother and grandmother, I have children your age. The fact that studies have been done mostly on men has been established for most of my lifetime. Women are chronically undertreated by health care. If a man complains of pain he his medicated to the gills. If a woman complains she is seen as a whiner and left to suffer. It is well established and well documented. Things are now changing, but it is coming slowly.

I started reading it Thursday evening and stayed up too late, then Friday night and a couple hours this morning. @Triphid I was always learning, but you need documentation to go along with it. I was quite the lay bible scholar, mostly so I could shut my ex or his dad up when they started to misquote to prove a point. I love learning and still read books every day. I got an associate's degree at 50.

@demifeministgal I live with two kitties, they're both under 3 years old. They are wonderful, they make me laugh, they make me get out of bed. The younger kitty is a "fetch" kitty. I can toss one of her toys and she will run after it and bring it back to me to throw again, it entertains us for hours. I am definitely a loving cat mama. However, SamSam is at that wonderful age where everything is new!!! And as her mama is my daughter, if you know your biology, the egg that became SamSam was formed in her mama when she was formed in me. Therefore SamSam was actually part of me. I have two grandchildren, SamSam's cousin is Austin. SamSam is two, Austin is 10 months. I'm crazy about him too, but he's not quite as interactive as SamSam yet. But that they were both part of me is just so encompassing, I am overwhelmed with the love I have for these babies. I loved all my girls, being mom was my thing. But to be Grammy is so much more than being mom was. Yeah, I love my kitties, but I definitely don't love them as much as SamSam or Austin.

Some of these are things I have zero trouble with.

I do meditation, it really helps with the negative self talk and has greatly reduced my anxiety. Since my anxiety has decreased my resting heart rate has also gone down. I have no trouble with water, it is my favorite drink. I keep a container of ice water around all the time. Hobbies keep me sane ...

@AmmaRE007 I use cream, no sugar because I've cut sugar out of my diet. I add CBD oil and Collagen Hydrolysate. Both of those are arthritis and damage to my knees and thumb.

@AmmaRE007 There is only one reason I drink coffee - caffeine kick. So I chug that cup/glass of coffee mixture down as fast as I can. I don't want to taste it, it has a few other supplements in it as well. After the caffeine kicks in I'm a nicer person.

It is very sarcastic, but it will make you laugh. And for workplace issues please read the blog AskAManager.org. Alison Greene has been in HR forever, she started this blog 10ish years ago. She answers workplace related questions and has marvelous advice for office culture, office politics, lunch thieves, resumes, cover letters, interviewing, job searching, and job surviving. I read it daily, and miss it on Sunday when she doesn't post new things. Readers also comment on the postings, and sometimes have really great insights or ideas. She also posts pictures of her cats, she must have a bunch of them.

@darthfaja I don't think it is "uptight" per se. There are just some experiences that come with age, and frames of reference as well that enrich relationships. Also, I'm looking at retiring in less than 10 years and want to enjoy my retirement. If I'm with someone 15+ years younger and still working that could become an issue. I'm not saying it wouldn't or couldn't work, and I'm not saying I wouldn't be open minded, but my experience has been I haven't found a younger man that I felt I clicked with. My kids don't know about all the men I have dated.... and they won't meet whomever I may date until I'm sure it is going to be something I need to tell them.

@ProudMerrie My middle daughter "advised" me that I should not date anyone that was closer in age to my oldest daughter than to me. That is younger than I would have gone. So, I'm 61, oldest is 34. So I should date men 48 and over per #2. My comfort zone is really about 55 and over.
