@MsKathleen The first New Years Day that I was on the site, I unblocked everyone that I had previously blocked. Sort of a New Year's Experiment, think New Year - New Start. That lasted about 2 weeks. I consider that a learning experience. I was reminded of the reasons I blocked them in the first place, and decided that decision was the correct one for me, and I have no need to repeat that experience. I have no idea if someone has blocked me, I don't care. Life is too short, I'm too busy and don't have bandwidth to worry about it.

Two of my groups of acquaintances are non believers so that is a good start. I had one date with a guy from a dating site who liked to hang out nude at home and he had cats that had incredibly matted fur and his house smelled like a litter box. I don't have a great sense of smell and the place made my eyes water. All he talked about was being naked. This is NOT a dude I'm ever going to introduce to my kids, it was definitely a one and DONE.

Never mind that they actually are not "good" xians, but they can't quite grasp that concept. I generally do not interfere with kidlets and their dad, however I did suggest to my daughter that she set boundaries with her dad. I don't want to see SIL with a heart attack. I suggest no discussion of religion or politics in the car, and if her dad can't do that, then he can drive himself. It had not occurred to her to set boundaries. @Petter I try to buy permanent press clothing, but I also prefer natural fibers. Generally my clothing goes from washer to dryer to hanger. Most of the time any wrinkles fall out before I wear them again. If I really need to look sharp I might do a touch up with an iron, that hasn't been needed for such a long time. I try not to throw away clothing unless they are too worn to wear again, most of mine that are in decent shape are donated to charity. I realize most charities ship it overseas where it clogs up their system. Most days I'm in jeans and T shirts, it doesn't matter what I look like, I WFH. Since I've been mostly WFH for two years, I have worn some of my clothing to the point they were only good for the trash bin. That makes my frugal heart feel good.

@LiterateHiker It isn't uncommon for females to lose inches as we age. My grandmother was 5'11" in her youth (and yes her height passed me by, my brothers got it.) When she passed Grammie was measured at 5'8" which is still taller than I ever was. I don't know if I have lost any height, but it seems like my daughters have grown taller.

@yvilletom Possibly. Not knowing about the shooters upbringing it's hard to say, however from past shooting there were breakdowns in the family life in some cases. in many of the school shootings the shooters have been bullied or not had a good home life. I haven't heard anything about the recent shooting yet. However, it seems reasonable that well adjusted people do not shoot up elementary schools. It was possibly mental illness, or family dysfunction. But the one common denominator is that the shooters had access to weapons and ammunition.
