Donald Trump Has Never Cared About Workers, and Never Will
maturin1919 comments on Jan 20, 2019:
It is known. Are people just finding out this stuff?
HippieChick58 replies on Jan 20, 2019:
@maturin1919 I never liked him even as a Reality TV show. (That is an oxymoron if I ever heard one.) I never cared what anyone else thought. But everything bad about him has now been magnified so much, he is much cruder, crasser, more obnoxious than ever. The fact that so many people are so fawning over him, just blows my mind. I really think it is time to drink the koolaid for his followers, I don't think they can be rehabilitated. I am aghast at the hate and ignorance that I am seeing from his followers. I don't believe this can be healed or educated out.

Don't you know? The gays want to make all of us gay! We're going to be one big happy gay family. Like it is contagious or something. There is no Gay Agenda. From Wikipedia: Homosexual agenda (or gay agenda) is a term introduced by sectors of the Christian religious right (primarily in the United States) as a disparaging way to describe the advocacy of cultural acceptance and normalization of non-heterosexual orientations and relationships. The term refers to efforts to change government policies and laws on LGBT rights-related issues. Additionally, it has been used by social conservatives and others to describe alleged goals of LGBT rights activists, such as recruiting heterosexuals into what they term a "homosexual lifestyle".[1]

@Trajan61 I disagree. You haven't seen a major exodus yet so far because of Der Donald. Most people just want a job, a home, and to raise their families in peace. Der Donald wants you to believe it is rapists and other criminals coming in. It isn't. It is families who want to protect their children. They want to work and they are not afraid of hard work. I am not afraid of people who's skin is darker than mine (well, that's about everybody) nor of people who speak a different language. I know how hard it is to move to a strange place. Those trying to come to the US are motivated, dedicated, and very brave. Yes, I am a compassionate liberal, but I am also clear eyed. The US has always been a refuge for the downtrodden. "Give me your tired, your poor", has been our guidance. That is what made us the greatest nation. We cannot be that again until we return to that mission.

@Trajan61 The Iron Curtain was not a physical wall. It was a heavily guarded and patrolled border. The actual wall was about 96 miles. Borders are man made constructs, we are all citizens of the earth. The people looking for asylum are fleeing conflict in their homelands, they are fleeing for their lives. The conflicts in their homelands is a result of the US meddling under GB1 and GB2.

@Trajan61 The actual wall was not that long from what I am finding on Wikipedia. Also the Iron Curtain and the Berlin Wall were definitely not humanitarian in nature. They were expensive too, requiring a great deal of ammunition and manpower to keep it intact. I'd rather not live in a soviet style state and I think any border wall is a bad idea.

My golden matched the woodwork in the house we had when we first got him. He would follow me to the bathroom and lie down outside the door waiting for me. I'd trip over him as I left the room because I couldn't see him. I'd feel bad for both of us. He was my shadow. There was not room in that half bath for the both of us.

HippieChick58 comments on Jan 12, 2019:
We have about 4 inches in Omaha and I have bronchitis. Some of the neighbors have been proactive about removing the snow. I think I'm going to wait til the sun come out. My house faces south. More realisticly, I'm hoping the teenged boy from across the street offers to shovel it again.
HippieChick58 replies on Jan 12, 2019:
@Hathacat One of the other neighbors has done the front sidewalk. I suspect said neighbor has to use that sidewalk to get to the mailbox, one of those 12 boxes on a pedestal deal. It is right beside my driveway. I think they've learned that I'm not quick to shovel. When I first moved here I worked 12 hour night shifts, and I don't think I saw daylight all winter.

@Robecology And military pay was delayed during his tenure. Yes, I have a biased outlook. I don't remember why it was delayed. I have read that he could be condescending and then there was the lust in his heart statement and the attack by a bunny. He is so much better than Drumpf, but I did not think highly of him when he was president. However, my age and lack of experience/wisdom may have had much to do with it.
