So there are a few shops in my local area that offer this service. The one I usually use has about 6 long arm machines, the batting, backing, thread, they offer classes so you can do it yourself, and they have other supplies. I think the quilting charge was reasonable, if I had to do it by hand I'd never be finished.

And I live way out in the burbs, I mean almost to Elkhorn in the burbs. I'm a dull person, really. And I'm good with that.

When I was in Japan in the late 70s (am I dating myself) I was amazed at the bakeries. They could produce lovely awesomely decorated cakes that tasted like sawdust. The Japanese didn't have the sweet tooth that American's had. And currently in China what is acceptable for food for export defies the definition of food.

@Sheannutt My Junior and senior highs had cafeterias. The elementary school didn't, and for me it was a 3/4 mile walk. However, some days that was a frigid walk, and girls weren't allowed to wear slacks until I was in 3rd grade. It amazes me that as a little kid I walked that far alone. Yes, I had a brother "watching out" for me. Picking on me was the more accurate term.

@FrayedBear Bullshit. There is nothing that says because we shared a meal that I have to sleep with someone. As I said, my experience is that it is best if we don't rush into intimacy. If that is a deal breaker for you, I'm happy to have that information early on and know that the relationship will not progress. If I am pressured into intimacy it isn't going to be a viable relationship anyway. If someone will not respect my boundaries then again it is not a viable relationship.

I tell them if Zelda would stop knocking it under the stove they'd have so much more. Doesn't seem to make a difference, silly girls.
