Actually this is true it doesn't lower our population by much and it makes the state a far nicer place to live.... Many of them move to Texas because they think they will pay less in income tax (they don't because state income tax can be deducted from your federal income tax and the property taxes are higher by dollar value in Texas) and unfortunately most of the ones who are not retired move back when they figure out how much less they are getting paid there...
