But now on the same news programs we are hearing how the "evil" Russians are shutting down Ukrainian and dissident Russian media and limiting information, and yet at the same time are reporting how the Russian RT "propaganda" has been stopped from spreading their left wing fake news, yet at the same time stations like Fox news and GBN are allowed to continue spreading their right wing nonsense. I am sorry you are mistaken Some actual facts Before the Iraq War began, the US government announced that 49 countries were joined in a "coalition of the willing" in favor of forcibly removing Saddam Hussein from power in Iraq, ONLY Five of these countries supplied combat forces directly participating in the invasion of Iraq (Boots on the ground so to speak): the ***United States, Denmark, United Kingdom, Australia, and Poland. *** Some other countries expressed their support, providing either significant political or supplying support equipment: these included ***Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine*** This means Ukraine participated ONLY at the same level most of the rest of Europe and Asia. LenHazell53 comments on Feb 23, 2022:
It is simple The USA political establishment thrives on promoting fear of the international boogie man For years it was "the Yellow peril" then "the pinko commie" threat, more recently it was "the Gay agenda", then "the trans" agenda, they promoted hate of "the other". However with the rise of anti-racism, anti-sexism, religiophobia, people have been placed in the situation where hating makes the hater the villian of the piece not the protective hero. Afghanistan was a prime example of this, for years hating the Taliban was an idea boogie man, different religion, different skin tone, different culture, BEARDS, etc. But suddenly hating the middle eastern threat was all wrong, it was racist, it was religious prejudice, it was cultural hatred. One phobia was set against another, Yes the A-Rab as the US like to call him was sexist BUT he is also a brown person and that makes you a racist if you call him out on it, and so on and it simply became too much trouble. BUT to go back to the old favourite ***"The Pinko, commie, red under the bed, rubal loving Russian bastard"*** and all that goes away. Nostalgia value, lots of us remember the cold war, damn most red necks don't even know Russia and the Soviet union are still not the same thing. Lots of us grew up hating AND FEARING the Russians and long for those uncomplicated good ole days. *They are white, so no race problem They are mostly Christian (But not PROPER Christian) They are atheist so no religious problems, but still a deep mistrust of the godless heathen. They mistreat brown people much worse than we do They collaborate with the sneaky inscrutable Chinese They don't speak ENGLISH so they could be saying anything behind your back They eat funny food They put Bears on Unicycles They have atomic bombs They live were it is always snowing , so they want out warm and pleasant lands The Klingons were based on them And you just cannot trust them!!!!* Even woke people are frightened of them and have no reason to complain if other people do to BINGO and we have a winner!

Roosevelt. Among them was 22 year old Ira "Chief" Hamilton Hayes, who was suffering PTSD after seeing his best friend and fellow flag raiser " Jim Sorenson" shot dead by a sniper in front of him. He suffered from alcoholism, Shell shock and survivors guilt for the rest of his short life. Mocked and called a coward by white Americans and rejected by his own people the Pima tribesman plains Indians for selling out to Arizona state government who did not even allow him or his people to vote and the Federal government who had forced him to take a white name in order to enlist at the age of 19. 10 years after the flag raising in 1955, homeless and ill Ira Hamilton Hayes died of exposure in the winter snows of his home state. In death he was given a little respect by his former comrades and was buried in the Arlington National Cemetery at the army's expense even though he was actually a marine. He was after investigation showed that three of the flag raisers had been misidentified, the last surviving member of the actual flag raisers, he was 32 years old In a final insult when a film of his life was made in 1961, Holywood refused to cast an indigenous American actor to play Ira, and instead changed his ethnicity and made him Italian American played by Tony Curtis.

It s like that other "Fun Fact" that if every body in china jumped up and down at the same time it would cause a tidal wave that would engulf the whole west cost of the USA. So why are they spending a fortune on atomic bombs?
To me, you are all beautiful trees.

The Bible is a veritable pick and mix of bullshit, from which you are invited to partake liberally to fit with your out interpretation of the angry abusive father you must love or else! Seemingly the only universal laws of Christendom are A) PAY YOU TITHING BECAUSE GOD NEEDS CASH B) Hate all people of all other religions cos they is going to HELL! C) Hate all people of no religion cos they is going to HELL! D) Hate all other Christians who disagree with anything you believe cos they is going to HELL! E) Hate everyone else because everyone is inherently sinful cos they is going to HELL! F) Tell all the sinners that GAWD loves them and that is why they is going to HELL!

LenHazell53 comments on Feb 17, 2022:
The word Andiron comes from the Norman French Andero which meant a young bull, because the shape was reminiscent of of a pair of bulls horns In the North of england we used to call them "fire dogs" because they looked like an alert dog.

LenHazell53 comments on Feb 17, 2022:
I think you mean Ganbatte 頑張って which literally means "be stubborn against fatigue" (or tension) and can be translated as having the same spirit as "work hard" or "do your best" Where as Gunbatte 軍馬って means "what is a war horse?"

Reminds me of the story in the Torah of how Abraham sent two spies in to Sodom and Gomorrah in an attempt to find ten good men , so the Lord would spare the cities. While in the City one of the spies was mugged and punched on the nose causing it to bleed. The Spies caught their assailant and took him before the magistrate demanding justice. Instead the Judge ordered they pay the man who attacked them for his services as a healer, as he had performed a bleeding and improved their health. At which the first spy punched the judge on the nose and told him to pay their assailant, before legging it.
