Let's say "God" does exist.
LenHazell53 comments on May 17, 2018:
The earliest deities were male and female usually biased more toward the female, it was with the advent of monotheism that male and gender neutral deities became referred to as "he" The earliest known monotheistic deity was The Aton literally the sun, since polytheistic sun gods before it has been male, The Aton was generally referred to as he since the use of "it" was reserved for inanimate things. Sun gods male, Moon goddess' female. In the first true dualist religion Zoroastrianism Ahura Mazda the positive deity was male, as was Ahrimanez the negative, but again since neither was technically humanoid it was more of a courtesy. With the advent of the house of Israel from which Judaism is an offshoot in it's earliest days there were two principle deities or Elohim: Adonai and Ashera symbolising the male and female principle Genesis 1: 26 Then God said, "Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness" Note the plural Genesis 1: 27 in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. The word here translated, as God is Elohim the plural of El or Eloha so it should more accurately read *In the image of the **gods** he created them; male and female he created them.* when the house of Israel scattered leaving only the tribe of Judah and the Tribe of Benjamin, the priest of Adonai (the house of Benjamin or Levites) decided JHWH as he was then secretly being known was going to be the one and only God of Israel and took the opportunity to try and totally obliterate the "cult" of Ashera, by utterly suppressing women, blaming Eve for the woes of the world, and apart from Ruth, Esther and Deborah, editing all female prophets, priests, judges and royalty out of the scriptures. Banning women from study of the scriptures and ushering in the western age of female suppression that was to last almost 4000 years in orthodox religion and society. However the Goddess cult has never died out, women have never totally be repressed and oppressed and today unfortunately are now being oppressed a new. Not this time by men, but by their own over zealous sisters, trying to utterly destroy the glory of the human race that is femininity, in favour of pseudo masculine females and hate mongering bigots.

It is when you dig in to it a form of Isis worship, the cult of Isis is the longest surviving Goddess cult, oddly predating even Isis, Asherar and Ishtar the original name of the primal goddess having long since been lost. The goddess cult survived by assimilating itself in to other religions and in early Christianity it did it twice, once as Mary mother of god and once as Mary the Magdalene wife of Christ. Of course when the RC got the upper hand, the heresy of Magdalene was wiped out in all but a few areas of rural France such as Languedoc said to that incarnation of the Goddess' final resting place , where her preserved skull is still today taken out and paraded through the streets every July 22nd in a bizarre necrotic procession. Incidentally it is also believed Mary Magdalene was black, hence the proliferation of Black Madonna's (Now deemed by the church to be Mother Mary, they are in fact relics of an older tradition brought back from Jerusalem during the crusades) found all over France and other parts of Europe and traditionally believed to be protected and venerated by the remnants of the Knights Templar

However since there are nervous connections between the buttocks and the genitals it is not really a surprise that most of us like a spanking now and then with no reason other than it feels nice?

The "Birth" Of Jesus.
LenHazell53 comments on May 14, 2018:
The only Roman census historically recorded at anywhere near the time the gospels of Luke and Matthew is The Census of Quirinius of 6 CE granted this was in the incumbency of Augustus, but was 10 years after the Death of Herod the Great and was only carried out in Judea with no compulsion for anyone to return to their place of birth. Even if as some have suggested it was not actually a census but was the oath of allegiance ordered by Augustus in 2 BCE of all subjects of the Roman empire to celebrate his silver jubilee, that still places the event 2 years after the death of Herod and in February, not December and simply required a record of the place of birth of th men (not the women) not for them to actually travel there. There is also of course the fact that even if Joseph did have to travel, he was a citizen of Syria, being Galilean, and Bethlehem is in Judah in effect having him emigrate to take the oath

LenHazell53 comments on May 13, 2018:
It is the bullshit cop out argument used by all religions when they get caught, pants down, and hand in the till. The simple refutation is that this being the case how can anyone trust anything ever proclaimed as dogma or doctrine when it comes from an imperfect being? Only direct revelation without an intermediary can be trusted, and since Gawd seems disinclined to do this, we only have imperfect people who by definition cannot be trusted to pass on revelation perfectly.
My question is on forgiveness and learning to trust again.

Did you feel his privacy was not worth respecting? do you think he needed to vent to a third party, even knowing it was a catfish? did you feel the need to prove this person a catfish, for you? For Him? or for some other reason? And finally is trust something to be learned? Trust is like love you either do or you don't? Perhaps you both need to seek professional counseling.

One of the many reasons the Christian faith has proven so popular is that thanks to the mass of hypocrisy, contradiction and double standards in the Holly Babble the religion can be all things to all men, it can be used to sanction slavery or speak out against it, it can favour the rich and loath them at the same time, it can laud and condemn poverty, preach violence and pacifism as being the same thing.

I went from a deep respect of the man to deep disappointment in a matter of weeks. Though his take down of Cathy Newman was awesome and still a long over due moment of classic television.
Religion In Politics And Constitutional Issues. Do they gel?
LenHazell53 comments on May 12, 2018:
Calling the UK a Christian country is technically true, though population wise the majority of the populous are non practicing Christians but the church of England does of course have a vastly disproportionate influence on UK politics. You are actually mistaken the Arch Bishops and bishops (26 in all) of the church of England have a seat each in the upper house of parliament (House of Lords) and a vote on the passing or reconsidering of legislation. Also the Queen has a royal veto, it is rarely used but does exist. The UK is in this respect one of the only four western theocracies. UK/commonwealth, Israel, Utah, the Vatican.
If you found out the Christian God of the bible was real, would you worship him?
LenHazell53 comments on May 12, 2018:
Even if it were proven beyond reasonable doubt that God or Gods existed, I would still not acknowledge their authority over me, nor their right to worship, nor their right to deism, because they had and have done nothing to deserve my deference, nor my respect and certainly not my love. To be honest I would be highly pissed off at them, him, her, it. Should they by force try to take control I would resist in the same way I would resist any invader of tyrant. The existence of a deity makes no difference to my atheism, it simply chances from my doubting their existence to my doubting their authority and claims to deity.
What to do?

Are there any Gnostic Atheist out there besides me?
LenHazell53 comments on May 11, 2018:
There's an undetectable God out there and the only way I as an individual will ever know anything about this God is if this God provides a direct revelation. Then is that actually a god in any way shape or form, or just some cosmic dwelling arsehole? There may be an undetectable porridge monster living on the far side of the sun orbiting at exactly the same rate as the earth, who we can never see or detect because it is always hidden from us, unless it decides one day to stretch out its essential porridgieness and say hello. That does not mean it is the creator of anything, it certainly has demonstrated no god like abilities and chances are is not a deity at all. Without being the proclaimed God in one form or another then this undetectable god of whom you speak has more in common with the porridge monster than with any deity of any ever. So think of it as a potential god at all? This is basically an argument from ignorance fallacy, "You have not revealed yourself yet, therefore you are God." You post taken as a whole does not paint you as a Gnostic Atheist, just as an atheist plain and simple with a bit more than the average imagination.

Yes one can never be 100% sure of any contention being true or false under all circumstances. For example under laboratory conditions, a group renowned scientist could leave milk and cookies at the base of a chimney in a house where "Nice list" children live every christmas eve for one hundred years, and then measure the resulting consumption and monitoring the following morning. IF in 1% of cases, the cookie is nibbled and the milk sipped, IF on 1% of the cases a jolly fat man with a sack is recorded coming down the chimney and making off with the Blu-ray player, it still does not prove the existence of Santa, (as a mystical being or as a burglar) is proves there are unaccounted variables. Because of such a study I am not going to leap at the one % and start becoming an ardent Santa-ist again hoping to be, one day, a good enough boy to wake up one December 25th with a stocking full of goodies in the fireplace, and I am certainly not going to reinstall a coal fire and chimney for especially this purpose as an act of faith! “You can never be sure 100% that there isn’t a ” is the argument from desperation, the last act of a drowning man clutching at a razor blade. -I have a friend; we met at seven years olds, went through school together, faced all kinds of problems and were as close as siblings. We saw each other through our divorces; we were godparents to each other's children. Then after a bad time in her life she joined the born again Christians, within a week they had convinced her that I was the devil, was trying to take her from God and drag her to hell, and that she could never be happy if I were a part of her life and that they were her only friends. I warned her that when the chips were down they would desert her; she called me a liar and a fool. I heard nothing from her for two and a half years, then a little while ago she got in touch, during an operation to remove a cataract from her eye, it was discovered that she had a brain aneurysm. It has been caught early and she should be fine after a minor operation. She went to her church terrified and asked for help, they offered "thoughts and prayers", she asked for support and a lift to hospital they offered "thoughts and prayers", she asked that someone dog sit her pets and come visit her in hospital, every one was busy but "thoughts and prayers". I spent the day with her, comforted her, accompanied her to see her surgeon for reassurance and bought her a coffee. She is fine and ready for the operation at the end of the month. It cost me a couple of hours and the price of a Starbuck's. MY friend is back and is free of those parasites, according to who, god sent me to her in her time of need, but who she must now reject again since I have not taken the "Obvious" call to salvation her illness offered me. The Butterly Effect, the straw that breaks the camel's back, both overlook key forces.
LenHazell53 comments on May 9, 2018:
However wide acceptance of the Butterfly effect would in this world probably result in president Cheeto declaring war on weather terrorist butterflies everywhere and his building a huge net over the USA. The straw that broke the camel's back will like wise result in the Health and safety executive making camels wear anti-straw back braces when engaged in agricultural labour or of them being banned from all hay, straw, grass and associate products production bases all together.
If everything is predetermined, would it change our behavior anyway?
LenHazell53 comments on May 9, 2018:
If it is, then you were bound to say that, and I was bound to answer with this, so I won't, but I already did, oh damn.
I got a bit snarky on Quora today, I have decided not to post anymore until my mood changes.
LenHazell53 comments on May 9, 2018:
Quora has too much censorship and caters to much to the nosey SJW busybodies for my taste, I maybe a bit of a socialist republican (English meaning of the word) but even I think most of Quora is made up of wet blanket, snowflakes, entitled brats and thought police b@$t@rds

You are basically posing a moral dilemma given a no win situation do you chose a lesser over a greater evil, do you become a murderer by intent, or a mass murderer by inaction. In such a situation, and barring no third alternative then yes, I would sacrifice one to save three, and though I would not like it, I would believe myself to have done the correct if not the right thing.

The idea of original sin, and man being inherently evil, is an abomination, and forcing it upon and indoctrinating it in to small children is tantamount to abuse. Oddly for a religion that spent so much time trying to suppress Gnosticism as a deadly heresy, it is frankly ironic that the doctrine of the world being inherently evil has been adopted with such gusto by the Christian church when this is primary Gnostic dogma

Anybody here ever lose a bet or take a dare with sexual consequences? What did you have to do? ?
LenHazell53 comments on May 8, 2018:
Between my marriages I went a bit wild, got involved with a very adventurous lady and did a lot of things I never previously thought I would. Including various dare games and card based games with consequences for losing. Just for information, trying to have sex, while sliding down a banister hurts your balls like fuck, if you don't use lube or a blanket to ride on.
I am a big fan of listening to the whole sex act and also watching it from a hidden vantage ...

Something I found was that, I never much liked pron films back in the day when they were all silent 8mm or 16mm films, but once VHS and later DVD came along, the sound was actually more erotic than the pictures. On that subject does anyone else recall when you used to be able to buy Porn LPs and cassette tapes?

On the topic of porn- porn stars are paid actors and actresses.
LenHazell53 comments on May 8, 2018:
You might as well say, does science fiction accurately represent how to fight an alien, or are all men built like John wayne and Sylvester Stallone. It a movie genre, and all movie's present a fantastic and overblown, exaggerated version of a story meant to evoke an unrealistic reaction, that's the fun. A realist porn movie, would be boring, over to quickly, probably unpleasant to watch and full of weird face pullings and complaints about wet patches, to say nothing vaginal and actual farting noises

I did have an odd experience like this, through a writers group I was involved in I met and communicated with a lady in the USA for a number of years. Because I am partially dyslexic she offered to proof read some of my stories and correct them for me. After a time she began discussing online a number of Issues with erotic scenes in my writing, these discussion became very detailed and deeply explored the nature of erotica. She spent time making suggestions, editing and helping me better understand the way women read romantic and erotic fiction. on night she became flustered and finally she admitted she was using these discussions to pleasure herself. I'll admit that even though I was an unwitting party to it, I was both flattered and embarrassed, to this day I'm not sure if this was cybersex or not.
Did having children change your relationship with your spouse or significant other?

Ok here goes..hold on to your seats. For women. Do you enjoy/love//hate anal penetration?
LenHazell53 comments on May 8, 2018:
Why just for women? Some straight men are quite fond of it to, a double ended dildo can have husband and wife both experience penetration at the same time.

I cringe every time I hear a politician say "God bless America.
LenHazell53 comments on May 8, 2018:
It is pretty much a catch all platitude Is god being invoked to bless the continent? Is the speaker simply hoping god will bless the American people, as many say god bless as a salutation? Is it an insistence that a god bless America as opposed to anything else blessing it, the devil for example? Or an instruction to god to bless America as opposed to the UK, France or god forbid Russia? Or is it just the political speakers Amen, so we know they have finished waffling and we should all applaud now like performing seals on steroids? Who can say?
Religion is the opium of the masses.
LenHazell53 comments on May 8, 2018:
Yup it makes the masses pliable, docile, suggestible and in the end it gets in to their blood, poisons them and leaves them a wrecked shell of their former selves longing for just one fix of fake dreams and oblivion, before the light shines down out of the sky and carries them away to lalaland.

I became a militant atheist and perhaps Anti-Theist because I was tired of seeing rich evil con men, exploiting the ill, the frightened the desperate, the poor and the gullible. Men, seeking to vaingloriously exalt them selves and to build private empires, legitimised thieves stealing goods, service and cash from mortals and the worship and wealth of imaginary gods to make of themselves living idols, false exemplars and counterfeit emperor of a fictitious dominion.

LenHazell53 comments on May 8, 2018:
I have no time for Charlatans like Theresa Caputo, John Edwards, the Warrens and the like, scamming money out of the bereaved and desperate. I am reminded how Dixie Yeterian managed not to foresee how she was going to get herself shot by gangsters who believed her fake psychic detective act to such an extent that they saw her as a genuine threat. I have some pity for the self-deluded parlour and church mediums that genuinely believe their subconscious ramblings are genuine spiritualist powers, but it does not go beyond pity.
Why aren't relationships 50/50?
LenHazell53 comments on May 8, 2018:
Why aren't relationships 50/50? ***They are*** if you find a good one. No. 1 warning signal of trouble brewing If you are living together and one of you is still talking about, *your money and my money *instead of **OUR** money, one of you is being taken for a mug and the other is a greedy bastard. No. 2 warning sign You are dating and one of you is paying for all the dates and the other is not even offering one of you is being taken for a mug and the other is a greedy bastard. No.3 One of you is paying for everything, the other is initiating sex at their own home, and expecting the payer to go home at their own expense afterward. one of you is being taken for a mug and the other is a greedy bastard.
