Long lines means that voter suppression is in effect. There should be adequate ballots/machines so that no voter is in line more than 30 minutes. If voters are in line at any precinct more than 30 minutes you should contact your county officials and demand that they better staff/supply election locations.

@Tibert You lack an understanding of Jim Crowe or apartheid, the aim and the effect was to effect racial segregation and prevent minorities from ever having a voice. If you spent anytime in the south during the 1960s you would understand that most of the "laws" themselves were not racist on their face, but were only discriminatory in the way they were enforced. In Mississippi, a black man with a college degree could not pass a literacy test, while an uneducated white could. You live in one of the states that routinely violated voting rights to the point that they were forced to get preapproval for changes to voting procedures. Look at the history of both the US and South Africa, every law that was placed on the books had high, lofty reasons on paper, but behind the scenes it was to restrict minority participation.

Had to check out your profile Ranger Charlotte, It looks like you've had some good postings. When my VA disability got approved, the first thing I did was get my national park passport, and i use the hell out of it.

@Frankjd There's a big difference in pushing the limits and kidnapping a baby. If you have ever been in the backcountry, part of our instruction was to document encounters when we could, (journal, pics, whatever) which led us to getting much closer than was really recommended.
