The birds nest in large colonies in coastal areas and inland waterways. They also feed in flocks when prey is plentiful. I have seldom seen just one, normally around here they are in small flocks.

Belize! YES, that is definitely on my list!
glennlab replies on Feb 15, 2021:
@tinkercreek I had been looking at Belize as a place to retire for several years. I took a trip there for 2 weeks to scout out areas, but stayed mainly on the beach (San Pedro), the next summer I went down and stayed for a month and really explored the country. I actually liked the mountainous areas better than the beach areas. With my medical being taken care of by the VA, I would still have to commute for medical care. A really nice beachfront condo runs $1200 a month and a house in the mountains runs around $600/mo. I had never had some of the fruits as fresh as they were there (think 2-3 lbs advocado), fresh cocoa, coffee that is fresher than anything we can get in the states. While they have reopened the country, it is still a lot of hoops to jump through, so I' going to put it off at least until; late summer.
It is too damned cold for me. Belize is looking better everyday.

We’re freezing in LA, it has to be below 65 degrees F out here.

Who uses a rice cooker or a magic pot?
FrayedBear comments on Feb 14, 2021:
Ive had several of the rice cookers & after the first month they tend to forelornly sit there unused. My preferred lazy way doesnt even include rinsing once let alone four times. The rice is straight from packet to pan. Smooth rice out & cover to one inch depth of water, add tablespoon of good ...
glennlab replies on Feb 14, 2021:
@Surfpirate, @FrayedBear When rice is milled, the outer waterproof husk is removed. After that, the bran is removed in the polishing process. This is after it has spent quite some time in the drier. While in the drier/storage bins the husk provides protection from bugs and rodents. The rice will normally be stored under dry nitrogen so may of the short lived chemicals that are sprayed on the rice very early in its growth are gone before milling even begins.

You can wrap up against the cold, even naked and sitting in the sea, it can still be too blooming hot.
glennlab replies on Feb 14, 2021:
Never, I was down there during the hottest part of the year, and still was more comfortable than anytime in the cold.
I seem to be stuck on this today.

Since it is not a real trial within the judicial system, I don't believe double jeopardy would apply.

You are right, this is a civil action. The framers were clear that removal from office, prohibition from holding a future office were the beginning not the end of retribution.

Do you remember the first porno you saw?
glennlab comments on Feb 2, 2021:
Not my first porno, but my most memorable, Deep throat was playing in Denver, I went to watch it with a friend since it was all the rage then. It was a badge of courage to brag about. i ended up having to see it with my girlfriend, the having to take two of her friends individually to see it....
glennlab replies on Feb 2, 2021:
@Buttercup I don't remember the name of it, but it was on Colfax. It ran Deep Throat for at least 104 weeks before I left town. This was in 1973.
