Self exam is the key, had I not asked, it probably never would have been discoved until it was too late. Skin and breast cancers are most often self diagnosed before the doctors so always be vigilant.

I have been impressed with the young doctors since the VA in NTX allied with UT Southwestern Med School. They could be a little better at explaining what they are doing, but their work has been fantastic. I'm at the point in life that the only time young women ask me to take my clothes off it has to do with a medical procedure.

Smithsonian sends out an email everyday, They normally have 8-10 articles each day, I subscribed several years back and have really enjoyed it. It's free.

@azzow2 I remember being told by the VFW that they didn't want or need Vietnam Vets. The worst reception was by WW II and Korean Vets, not the public in general.

@Pralina1 Both figured it was safer on the floor, I would flip over without any warning and both were rescues, so they were a little more cautious than ones I had gotten as puppies/kittens.
