Morality comes from the structure of the society that you live in. If it is OK to poke another person in the eye with a stick then you will find this going on. Morality evolves with passage of time. As for FGM, I find this more horrifying than circumcision. It has more health risks and can even be life threatening. Modern ideas on circumcision (some even promoted by Kellogg) is that it prevents smegma buildup and will also stop a male child from jacking off. This is total nonsense. As for FGM, it has been know to even kill the victim. The purpose is to take away all sexual desire so the victim gets no pleasure from sex and is only a tool for the husband. I take this as a crime. If I were female and this was done to me I think I would contemplate the idea of killing the ones who did the operation.

If there ever was a Jesus, he's probably just pulling his pud for the rest of eternity, no need to ...

I think we are all born predisposed to knowing what everything is. We are learning from day one but want to know what everything is and where we came from. We strive for this and many fall in with others who say they found it in some ancient book. Your entire existence is exposed and planned out by some mystical being and for some reason people who go this route think that ancient humans had to know more than we do now, so they accept it as truth. This is quite a step from the blank slate that we started with. The fact that all of us have different experiences along the way is also proof that there is really no free will that so many talk about. This is because we are not the same and our experiences are not the same. One person at the end of their rope does not hold true for all of us. Whether you are religious or not examine your belief system and you will see how it has changed over time. Some call this growth.

I feel for you and I hear you. I retired my laptop and now have 3 desktop computers. Two of these are re-furbed HP's and the last one , my newest one, is an Acer that I bought for $2 and worked the bugs out of. An HP fan should work for you. I've had both of my HP's for close to 5 years now and I never turn them off. They sleep. A few years back I bought a re-furbed computer from Tiger Direct. It worked for me for 10 years with sleeping only and not turning it off. After 10 years the mother board went bad. I suppose hibernate would work just as well for this.

If I live til June I will be 77 years old. Said it before and now will say it again. I have been vaccinated my entire life from the time I first started school. Never a bad reaction in me or others that I was around at the time. Never heard of a death because of vaccination. Today you hear horror stories of someone who died in less than 20 minutes after the jab. I've come to the conclusion that we either had better medicine way back then or that maybe, just maybe, people are making shit up. If anyone is in doubt try not to get your info from all those "we are new to the scene" websites that offer info they claim is valid but they just came up with it in our now disinformation age. If you check into all of this it's not just the Catholics. Sexual activity seems to be around in all religions and it often is about sexual abuse. Catholics come in more as buggers maybe because they fear it would be more wrong if priests were abusing young girls. It's the old "marriage is man and woman" thing and the priest is married to god. Protestants have men abusing boys too but mostly they go for little girls. Another thing that stands out to me on this is all of the people that want to be religious who somehow believe that "anal sex is not real sex." More of these around than you think. Not just the now dead Travis Alexander. What others miss here is the trauma that the victim goes through. Doing the act and then trying to hide the trauma is the great crime. Not against your mythical god but against humanity.

I have a former boss who's wife had a cyst in her ear. It was not that big and they said it would be a simple operation. Too much time went on and doctors made excuses. Finally they came out and said they had lost her. She was gone. We all know that vaccinations were involved before the operation. What was never found out is exactly why she had died. Thanks for posting. My take on "hope" is not religious at all. I have no religious hope nor faith. With that said I do not recognize despair too much. I know we have it and go from one state to another mentally, but my take on hope is that I hope to not be in pain, not be hungry, and to continue with having all my bills paid. If I have a relationship I hope for it to be peaceful without arguing and for me and the lady to have and do things in common. The best I can figure on this one is that cops read the license plate on the Gomez car and this gave them his name and the fact that he lived in Arkansas. Chances are that would have been a state trooper who then passed info on to our local cop at the scene. In our small area there would have been one trooper and one cop at the scene. Only a local cop would have told the Mobil attendant anything at all and included things like follow this man if you see him so we can arrest him. This puts citizens on alert for anyone with blood on them and wearing a teal shirt. Wrong move by a cop. I'm sorry that you have trouble getting through this. Rather than have holiday blues the way most people do, it's always getting past the monetary elements of this for me, then getting back on the right track in January. I do have holiday blues but they are of a time past for me. No gifts, no trees, no nonsense. My reasoning is that Christmas time is for kids and I'm way past kid age now. Of course this would all change if others lived here with me. Years ago I thought of myself as a watcher, an observer. This seems to have blended in with my way of thinking totally. We talked through some issues together and I made her laugh as usual. Maybe that is why she calls. There are times we all just need a laugh and to get back on track. This time our phone call was just over an hour but they have been known to go 4 hours. If anyone has the blues over high food prices I just found out everything is really expensive in Dallas. Good thing my ex has a good job. At one time she worked for Raytheon Corporation but has moved on.

I also have Netflix and I find that these days I cannot watch anything at all while I'm laying down. I go to sleep quickly, so there is no reason for me to have that TV in my bedroom any longer.

I blame the pandemic for a lot of this when everyone was inside and afraid, worked from home and read stupid nonsense about pics and dating. Who got caught sending a wrong pic or who wants to just tease, etc. A lot of this is still going on. I'm on dating sites today with a few dumb answers. That is, if they answer at all. A few insecure idiots even want to get you chatting back and forth with them and I have no time for that. Example: What are you doing now? The same damned thing I was doing 5 minutes ago. Please stop! As for learning more about me, I do not put all my likes and dislikes along with my info on a screen to someone with a user name. It'd just not a wise thing to do. They might be mining for info so they can become you, or sell your info so someone else can become you. Some take a while to slowly sucker you into this. Don't allow it to happen.

Thanks for posting. I put up with Christian apologetics which are lies the entire time I studied for the ministry. Dropping away from that, I lived in guilt for a majority of my life. Drinking was wrong but I became alcoholic and would sometimes cry over my lost Christianity. One day I woke up to see this was all just myth and superstition. It may. What I do is take my meds and eat and drink what I want. I'm type 2 and right now my main foods are Morrell sausage ( the cheap one) and chicken noodle soup with crackers. Of course, I still have Ramen noodles and eat hamburger well drained. Some bread and occasionally oatmeal. Sometimes a can of veggies. I forgot to add that I drink apple juice and aloe vera. Sometimes mixed. These are very good while taking my meds. I also stil drink 2 percent milk.
