Oh the memories this brings back. We had HUGE slugs in Western Washington State, kids were 7 through 14 years when we moved away. We showed them how to salt the slugs... really cut down the numbers of slugs eating the hostas. I had little fiends!

How long have you guys and girls been vegan?
HippieChick58 comments on Aug 1, 2019:
I am a flexitarian. I stay vegetarian when I'm alone, but when I eat at my kids homes or cook for them I do eat and cook meat. I eat much less meat. There was a while, about 3 months that I was vegan except for the occasional meals with the kids. I have been the mostly vegetarian for 2 or 3 years. My girls don't care what/how I eat, but I try to be a good guest/hostess. The partners of my girls are pretty firmly in the meat eating camp. I stopped eating meat and animal products mostly because of cost (to me and the planet), and I just wanted to be healtier.

Have you ever been on an airplane and listened to the steward's spiel about the oxygen masks? They tell you if you're traveling with small children to put your mask on FIRST! That is because if you don't take care of your needs you won't be able to take care of their needs. Same way at home, if you don't take care of your needs, you can't take care of her needs. And you need time away from her to be with her daddy. In the end it is better for everyone.

Call the bank to check your accounts first... And then I googled: Do civil lawsuits have arrrest warrants? And I got: While most civil warrants do not result in an arrest warrant, a judge can issue a bench warrant for a civil case. Bench warrants are issued on behalf of the court when an individual fails to appear in court. In a civil case, this usually occurs when a defendant or witness fails to appear after being issued a subpoena. The truth is I looked at him and said, "do I want to live the rest of my life like this?" And it turns out there were thousands of other women saying the same thing I was. I knew going in the odds of finding a decent guy were slim, I didn't realize they were THAT slim. But it comes down to I am better off without him, even when times were tough.

Mad at god or don't believe?
HippieChick58 comments on Jul 25, 2019:
I would say I am highly disappointed in so called christian churches especially in the United States. When you step away from the church and the indoctrination fades away, and you begin thinking again, you realize what a load of crapola. My experience is that churches are right up there with country clubs, just usually without golf courses. Just a place to socialize with others of your class. When I started comparing what the buybull promised to what was happening in the world the cognitive dissonance was deafening. "God" won't let a sparrow fall from the sky, but there are children starving in Africa and priests raping children, and politicians molesting children and women. WTF? So no, I am not mad at god because there isn't one or any. I am a tad disappointed that I bought the crap for so long.
