Wow!! That really, really, (I am speechless and that so rarely happens.) When I think of the progresses in life as we knew it when I started dating.... I never would have imagined this way way back when and OMG I sound like a dinosaur. I am a dinosaur. Makes me wonder if I will ever invite someone into my bedroom again.

I much prefer reading to TV or movies. I cut the cable about 2 years ago and have never regretted it. I used to watch TV with a book open, and pretty much follow both plots (which doesn't say much for the plot of either, I admit I was reading some pretty fluffy stuff.) Used to really aggravate the ex cuz then he couldn't watch TV in the dark. I have some TV shows or movies that I like to watch, just don't want often. And I like to have something to do with my hands, crochet or knitting while watching, being productive, ya'know.

I lost 50 pounds easily by cutting sugar out of my diet. Sugar is highly addictive. I've put about 20 back on with a job change and more stress. I need to get that habit back under control. Yes, more exercise would help but it is in the single digits, no outside activities until March!

Too many to choose from but I needed a root canal a few months ago, could not sleep due to pain. Put oil of cloves on a cotton ball, held it against my tooth, and slept like a rock for 5 hours. Then I noticed the numbing agent the dentist used tasted like oil of cloves. Also Marathon Man, he used oil of cloves. I also like lavender oil, and eucalyptus when I have a cold.

Spending some time on Zoosk. So few nonreligious men.

So, it is colder than a well digger's hiney in Omaha. In my car I carry small bags with: $5, a mylar space blanket, clean socks, and disposable personal cleansing wipes. When I am driving around town when I see someone with sign asking for a handout I will hand them the bag. The mayor had some of the rules changed, and some islands at intersections are marked that people cannot stand on them. Today I passed someone at one of the few unmarked areas, and I went out of my way to be able to pass him to hand him a bag. That is my contribution to goodwill in a world gone mad.

This point system really sucks.

In the US, "christianity" is the default value. If you aren't Jewish, Muslim, or other, therefore you must be christian. My best guess is most people have never read the bible, or other religious text, and rely on what the pastor might have said. I think more and more young people are fed up with the conservative religious crap and the numbers of non religious in the US will be climbing. That being said, welcome to the group. i am OK with the military, I would have issues with clergy. I would have issues with unemployment, depending on the reason. I've met several men on free dating sites that were serial unemployed with emotional or alcohol problems. I don't think a truck driver would work out, I don't do long distance.

Yeah, if I don't have my phone I am so screwed!! 2 years ago Thanksgiving I was working a 12 hour shift. I droppped my phone just right and killed it deader than hell. And it was snowing that day. I knew if I had car trouble on the way home I was dead in the water. I still don't remember any phone numbers besides my own.

Partly I stayed for the kids, and partly I stayed because I didn't have skills to get a good job and support those kids. When I finally realized I had enough I got some education and then got the divorce going, the youngest was in HS. The kids now tell me I really stayed too long, but hind site is 20/20.

It is tough sometimes. I work in disability claims and I've had a few claimants that were/are undergoing gender reassignment. Sometimes I have trouble figuring out which pronouns to use with them. And because of time pressure/high case loads/bad memory/habit I use the wrong one. Ya gotta cut people some slack, change is slow but it is coming.

I drive a Red 2007 Toyota Rav4. It was my downsizing car from being primary chauffeur in a Chrysler Mini Van after the kids started moving out. It was the last car we bought as a married couple, and we got it new. It has a sunroof. My plan is to drive this car until my children forcibly removed the keys from my withered arthritic hands. Yeah I'd kinda like something newer, smaller, and better gas mileage, but 1. It is paid for, 2.Sunroof, 3. It has on demand AWD, and I live in the snow belt. And 4. It is paid for. If my hips and knees were younger I'd get a Mazda Miata.

I got my flu shot, now I read that they didn't guess quite right and it is going to be a rough flu season. My oldest daughter is pregnant and has had the flu just recently. My grandbaby spent some time in the ER today with an upper respiratory infection. Yeah, I'd like to stay home for the rest of the flu season, but I don't think that is in the cards.
