I am about to head out for a walk, and then I will be tackling a creative project. The day will end with time with my grandson and helping my kids. My daughter will have surgery on her foot today, which is why I get to keep her precious little boy. In between I will be here, which always makes my day better.

in 1996 I got a golden puppy. My kids were 4, 7, and 11. I also had a Mother in Law that weighed about 80 pounds. I spent countless hours training Chief. He did not jump on anyone, he waited until the stairs were clear before he would go up or down. He sat and waited for his bowl to be put down. I could put him in a sit or down with hand signals from a distance. My Son In Law has a lab that has no manners, it makes me very sad. He doesn't jump, he just tries to walk between your legs. He's 120 pounds, my girls are all short, he doesn't fit. I am considering getting a dog if I stay retired. I won't get a dog if i decide I need to go back to work. Dogs take a time commitment for training and socializing, and I won't have that while working.

My first tattoo was professionally done, I got it post divorce, about 10 years ago. Second tattoo is still in the planning stages. My ear piercing was done by a doctor when I was 14. However a few years later when I was in the Army I did a second piercing. I have no idea how I got away with that.

I usually have low levels of Vit D because I stay out of the sun. I burn in no time flat and skin cancer is a definite risk. A few years ago I was diagnosed with low D and put on supplements. Vampires need to stay away because I really can't spare any.

Love is not a finite emotion. The love for your children is definitely different than the love for your spouse, as is your love for your pets, etc. So yes, you can still love another person. Hopefully you won't do anything to cause the person you are currently entangled with to want to change the relationship status.

Part of the reason STIs are so high among this age group is that we became sexually active before the onset of the STI epidemic. We did not make it a habit to use protection. When I think of the chances I took when I was young, foolish, and in a job where it was 80% young men... I didn't sleep alone unless I wanted to. I was in the Army, men allllll over the place; young healthy, horny men. Post divorce I was not as careful as I should have been, but I escaped unscathed. And I've wised up to be sure that any partner uses protection. I used to carry condoms, I probably ought to clean out my purse to see if they have expired.
