I have refused mammograms for the last several years. I make my own toothpaste, no flouride. I don't eat any aspartame or anything artificial when I can avoid it. I get minimal sun exposure because I'm so fair skinned I burn in a New York minute. However, I also don't use any sunscreens besides coconut oil. I do drink municipal water, but filtered. I'm sure I'm getting some flouride, but there is only so much I am able to do. And Monsanto... sadly I have or had a family connection to Monsanto and Monsanto largely paid for my kids' college educations, which to this day does not make the kids happy. However, they are good liberals and as they find their voices have been using those educations to change things in this world.

The sad fact is that Ag.com is a free "dating" site. Of course it will attract scammers, like a hen house will attract a fox. Eternal Vigilance is the Price of Peace - Thomas Paine. So, eternal vigilance is the price of keeping Ag.com a scammer free place. I share your frustration about the scammers that keep showing up, holy moly they're out there in droves. On the flip side, we get to practice sleuthing and it gives us a purpose. So, take a deep breath and regroup. I am grateful that this site exists, and I get a rush each time we take down a scammer. Yeah, I know, I need more excitement in my real life.

I used to have a job where I facilitated transfers of patients from one hospital (usually smaller and fewer services) to a larger hospital (major med centers.) One night I had a burn patient in Schenectady, NY and from Omaha contacted the dispatch to send the helicopter to take that patient to Westchester Medical Center. It was less than an hour from the first call coming in til that patient was at the medical center. That still amazes me to this day.

One of my girls baked a load of cookies, and we all had to take a bag home with us. I love my girls, I love chocolate cookies, but I'm trying to be around for a while longer. The cookies did not make it into my house. This year I am lighter after Christmas than I was at Thanksgiving. Yes it is a sacrifice, but I have to keep up with Sam(antha) and Austin!

My sewing room has many hidey places. I usually check the cats locations when I leave the room because when I'm not in it the door is closed. Well, not as unfrequently as I would like I shut a cat in. And often it is for several hours and yes, sometimes they have to do what they have to do. And then there is all the stuff to get into. When I was married and the kids were young, I did it all. All the cooking, shopping, mailing, organizing, decorating, etc. I asked the ex one year what he would help with and he told me NONE of it, as it wasn't important to him. The most I got from him was proofreading the letter for the cards. Then a few years before we divorced I reread some of the past letters, and that was one of the steps that led me down the path to divorce. The ex was off in his own little world separate from the kids and I. As I live alone I now don't decorate, or bake or cook special stuff, minimal shopping, and don't send cards or letters, and it suits me just fine.

My ex (father of my children) is NOTHING like my father. My dad was abusive and ignorant as hell. My ex is highly intelligent, and condescending. My dad told me he would not support me going to college, I didn't need college, I should just get married and have babies. I joined the Army instead. My ex was a good dad most of the time, not always available to the kids. He did push for them to go to college, to get a good skill for life. The thing that I'd emphasize is kids take an enormous amount of time and usually when it is most inconvenient. I had good conversations with my teenaged daughters late in the evenings. That is when I found out what was really on their minds.

It is pretty routine that gyms have their peak periods post Christmas and New Years. How many make New Year's Resolutions to lose weight? And then by February the fortitude to change has worn off, or old habits have reasserted themselves. I stopped making New Year's Resolutions many years ago because I knew they just wouldn't stick and many times they were unrealistic. OK, more than many times. Through the year as something comes to my attention that I need to change I will work on changing it then. Like I did join a gym in October when it got too cold to do anything outdoors. I am still going to the gym usually 6 days a week, but not this week it is closed today. How long will it last, I don't have any idea. Hopefully as long as I need it to or can afford it.
