When are you expected to be exclusive in a budding relationship?
HippieChick58 comments on Mar 1, 2020:
I think that is something you need to discuss with all members of the relationship.
Habitué noun A frequent or habitual visitor to a place: a habitué of art galleries.

HippieChick58 comments on Feb 29, 2020:
When I was a church member I was so often amazed at how cruel judgmental "church people" could be, like the Westboro Baptist and the like. Even in the churches I belonged to there was that little group that if you deviated from their view of the right way you were immediately and irrevocably doomed to hellfire. I always wondered how they missed the memo that "gawd loves you as you are, yadda yadda yadda." There are too many xians that don't act like their imaginary leader. As for the workers in strip clubs, they're just trying to make ends meet like the rest of us. They usually have taken some knocks in life, and made bad decisions, but work is work. I turned 19 in Japan, I was in the Army. The Japanese have a much more open view of sexuality and sex workers. It was quite an education for a small town Nebraska girl, it made me the liberal trippy hippy dippy that I am today.
Hand Wash Have you ever considered making yoir own?
HippieChick58 comments on Feb 29, 2020:
I make so much of my own stuff already, but I dislike hand sanitizer. My hands get dry enough with just soap and water, I can't imagine adding alcohol. I work in a hospital so hand sanitizer is everywhere, and I'm glad I don't have patient contact that I would need to use it.
Ok so Frankie and I just went through a rough time tonight.
HippieChick58 comments on Feb 29, 2020:
I doubt it is jealousy, she's not capable of that thought process yet. Teething, growth spurt, over tired, fighting off a virus... too many options. And remember the mantra of motherhood: this too shall pass.
I haven't been getting any notifications from here.. aren't there any scammers available? πŸ˜‚πŸ€£
HippieChick58 comments on Feb 29, 2020:
We seem to be in a lull.
Old ad.
HippieChick58 comments on Feb 29, 2020:
LOL! Yes it made milk taste gross, too sweet. When milk is heated to make it powdered something in the process releases sugars. I don't remember anymore what that is. I used to feed it to my kids to be frugal, they didn't like it. Now I use it because I don't keep milk on hand. I buy milk when the kids and grands come to dinner, and then the remainder goes bad in my fridge.
This guy is such a joke. I'm honestly frightened.
HippieChick58 comments on Feb 29, 2020:
I feel it too. Geeze, we're screwed and definitely NOT going to enjoy it.
I see our friend Dutcherrand is back. He hit on my profile but didn’t message me.
HippieChick58 comments on Feb 29, 2020:
Good morning, and yes, Dutcherrand is back. I got a message from him this morning as well. You said it best @irishTxJudy, like a bad penny. https://agnostic.com/user/dutcherrand I think he is likely a scammer, or just a playboy. There is no NNES language errors. He is not hard on the eyes, but way too pretty. I don't trust exceedingly attractive people when they show interest in me. Too much imbalance there. One of my former bosses used to say if you want a faithful partner pick the not so pretty boy. The pretty boy will always have invitations and pressure to stray. The ugly boy will not have the invites nor risk losing you. Gad, I'm maudlin this morning.
Did you ever have one? Neighbour kids' did, we tried it but we like the sprinkler better.😁
HippieChick58 comments on Feb 28, 2020:
I remember neighbor kids having one, we used the sprinkler.

WOW...So true!!!
HippieChick58 comments on Feb 24, 2020:
I love my cats, but they are mostly for entertainment. My dog was trained to hand signals, voice commands, and he was the best every door bell. He was just so excited to have visitors! Training a dog to do tricks and respond to signals is lots of work, I was a SAHM and had the time, and needed a well behaved dog, he was big and I had small relatives that visited. You get the dog you work for and he was the son I never gave birth to. I don't have time for a dog now.
A post by @Lorajay on her new promotion to the next level set me thinking.
HippieChick58 comments on Feb 24, 2020:
I used to calculate my PPD, haven't done it in quite a while. I have been on Ag.com for 813 days and have 573,747 points. My PPD is 701.7. That does seem high, but I do have several groups that are busy and I post several times a day. And essentially this is my social life :)
Child hates parent... would you say anything?
HippieChick58 comments on Feb 24, 2020:
Depends on the age of the child and what is really going on. I have had a three year old tell me she hated me when I made her do something she did not want to do. Not enough details for a good answer.
Thought you'd all enjoy this one
HippieChick58 comments on Feb 24, 2020:

HippieChick58 comments on Feb 23, 2020:
I joined the Army after HS graduation. While in the Army I got married (well twice actually, first one was soon divorced, the second lasted longer. ) Second husband stayed in while I got out. Children each born on different bases, different countries. I've moved 23 times and 6 years ago I ended up 50 miles from where I was born and 135 miles from where I grew up. The woman who moved to Omaha is very much not the girl that joined the Army.
What do you think of backward ball caps on older men?
HippieChick58 comments on Feb 22, 2020:
I think men of any age that wear that baseball cap backwards look ignorant, immature, and insecure. I like to ask them what the last book they read was, most haven't read a book since high school. For me that is a pass.
Radarange most of us have this in our homes do you know what it is?
HippieChick58 comments on Feb 22, 2020:

HippieChick58 comments on Feb 22, 2020:

Was surfing through OutofTime and a couple of the profiles started with women talking about losing ...
HippieChick58 comments on Feb 22, 2020:
My gut says anyone who brings that up right away isn't over the loss yet, and though I have greatest sympathy, I don't want to deal with someone processing that kind of grief. I mean it is a loss that you never get over, but as you get distance it moves from acute to chronic. I can deal with the chronic, but I don't want to deal with the acute at the beginning of a relationship.
Food for thought!!!

In making this post, I am not being highly critical, but merely making an observation.
HippieChick58 comments on Feb 16, 2020:
If it makes someone feel good to post anything about religion I say "Go ahead." For some people it is an important topic, and if discussing it helps more power to them. If you don't like it you can skip over it. I am not here to censor anyone or tell them what should or should not make them feel better. I am selective in what I read and I have skipped over many posts, and merely skimmed and passed through hundreds more. We should all be adults here, and somewhat computer savvy. If you don't like the posting, go on to the next one. It might not help you but it might help someone else.

Getting a puppy is like having a child that has huge teeth, claws, and is destructive, takes lots of time and attention, and never grows up. I LOVE dogs, but unless you have a regular schedule, can be home frequently to take him/her out to potty/walkies/exercise, a puppy is not the pet for you. I don't have a dog because I'm frequently out of the house for more than 10 hours at a time, and no fenced yard. Now a kitten is easier, I have two cats and I will always have at least one cat. For my social live I have a local group of Humanists that are my local peeps. The American Humanist Association has groups all over the US: https://americanhumanist.org/get-involved/find-or-start-a-chapter/ Our group uses the Meet-Up platform to organize, publicize, and communicate. Check your local meet up for groups you might be interested in. Omaha has a REASON group that we work with, lots of joint membership.
